Howdy Tiggs,
I would like to see the "Brawler" live up to its name a little more. It implies a crude form of fighting that is obviously refined by specializing with elite profs. For Brawler to servive as a stand alone prof it needs to focus on its strengths: warcry, berserk, etc. These skills say "brawler" to me in the primal sence. Making beserk more effective would be great because no matter how good beserk2 was, a master of an elite brawling prof would never use it, because their moves are so good at that level.
I know this would be a big change but i would like to see some grapling moves, not nessarily animated as grabing a enemy but having similar effects. For instance if two buddies were fighting together PvE the brawler could slow down and handy cap the beast by trying some close range graple moves. Maybe these moves would tie up both the brawlers and the targets turns leaving them both a little vulnerable. I dont know, think about it, i may just be nuts.
thanks for the visit

You think pistoleer defenses are bad? I'm a merchant

I do not like the fact that we have to master marksman then never need the rifles or combat xp again, thould incorporate those into the heavy weapons or something like that, granted i know Investigation takes the place of combat xp and the LLC takes the place of rifles, but this is still one of the most difficult professions to master especially due to getting the investigation tree.
P.S.
I love your little dragon comment

Tiggs,
If you made it this far, bravo!!!
Not counting combat related issues (which the CB should take care of), I am sure you are seeing one topic appear in just about every post.
Player Bounties. BHs have been asking for this since day one. There is a death mark system pre-design document somewhere that TH has mentioned before, and I'd ask you to talk to him about it.
Did I mention player bounties?

The effectiveness of Bounty Hunter vs Jedi. A combination of Jedi skills can make a stock BH template ineffective. If thier is one thing that a Bounty Hunter should be able to effectively fight, it should be Jedi. At the moment a TKA+invest 3 is way more effective than a MBH. In effect all ranged professions are punching bags towards all the melee professions. Melee has more reliable , knockdown, dizzy and other state effects than a BountyHunter, and they get a bonus to hit all the ranged professions from thier allready impressive accuracy. I cant rember the last time a TKM actually missed me, or a Jedi.

1) Display Stats During Crafting: It has never been needed for other crafting professions because they always want to experiment to maximum. Most of the time BEs need to experiment to a certail CL and stop. WeREALLY need to be able to see what we are doing before the end, even if it is estimated.
2)Fix the special attacks that don't work! I find a lot of nice DNA that I just can't make good use of because it has "Open Wounds" or "Poison Spray" or "Area Combo". I can use the DNA to get the resists, but then I get NO specials! If we had all these nice specials it would make our pets much more appealing.
3) DNA storage: I like the ideas I have seen from previous threads on getting a sample of blood from the creature instead of DNA. Then the blood can then be sampled a number of times to get DNA. With this we have one sample of blood in our storage instead of 3-6 DNA samples. Or maybe a special DNA freezer or droidthat will hold 100 or more samples (And NOT count against the number of items in the house!). This could also lead to another item that can be made by Architects or DEs.
4) More high level DNA available.
5) Every other profession has a loot or bio-clothing available to give bonuses to experimentation and crafting...Why not BE? (And if you do make something PLEASE make it wearable by wookies!!!)

Hello Tiggs and Welcome to SWG.
I have done MBE twice, once before/during the revamp as part of my holo grind. I dropped it then more out of frustration looking for customers than anything.
I went back to BE after the holo grind and I see the same things now that I saw then.
1. Eggs. While hunting with my Jedi, I was able to collect a stack of 3k eggs. I must have thrown away 50k bugs, moths, bats and other assorted junk that is almost never used by anyone. (and yes, you can collect them on the drive by...someone had asked to be able to do this in one of the earlier posts).
2. I refuse to do pets anymore. Since CH was given the nerf bat (and it needed one if not quite so much as it got), the demand for high level pets is gone. The time it takes for DNA sampling is out of this world. And then couple that with the non-stacking of DNA samples, the confusing tissue crafting on top of the twisted creature crafting.....I want to play a game, not have to write a spreadsheet to figure out what cl/armor rating a pet will have.
3. I seldom run out of experiment points when crafting anything. In fact I seldom get to use all of them. I did a schematic for a chef customer a couple days ago. The resources he had actually required an amazing (doesn't seem to happen often) to get it to a full 90%
4. CA's...don't exist.
5. I have a factory full of tailor tissues. Until the clothing actually decays, there is not that great a demand for them. Then add in the lower level tissues that have no real use. I never bother to make basic items, just the enhanced version. Maybe if we could make something an armorsmith could use in armor, a poison mod a weaponsmith could use, poisons for CM's or additives for Doc's to use in stims or buffs, we would be needed more.
6. Is the secret research so secret they won't let us have it?
Tip: A Jedi/Scout combo works great with a BE main. Make friend with a Jedi and get them to pick up at least novice scout.

Weapon switching timer is still a big issue for Master bralwers, get several compaints about that daily. Unarmed tree takes soo much longer to grind than the other trees of bralwer. Most want a new weapon that would get you to TKA novice or master brawler in the same time it takes you to get to novice swordsman or novice fencer.

For me, the most pressing issues our profession has, is the jedi mission payouts and no TEF/target not online.
Few things in this game are as annoying as getting a jedi mission, running off the the informant and then getting told "your target is not online" when the guy's been glowing in my friendslist for the past 25 minutes (and continue to do so for the next two hours).
And when they do work, I love it. The stealth, trying to outthink the guy, figure out what he's doing, could he have friends with him? It also keeps me attentive everytime I pass through a populated area, since I look for people who are obviously jedi, trying to figure out whether going after them solo is worth the effort, whether they're guilded or factioned ina way that makes me want to leave them alone... I like it.
But once the deathblow has been delievered, the picture taken, I get 15K. Now granted, the ones I've killed aren't the toughest things to boot, but it takes me a lot longer to find them than it does to run missions on Dant. I could easily make more than 10 times that money in mission income. Subtracting my expenses, it means BH just isn't a viable long-term playstyle. Heck, I have a faster money/time ratio when I'm clearing out the Dantooine or Talus imperial outpost and then looting 500fp's worth of stormies.
After those two, there's the lack of defenses. And I feel the only reason this isn't as much of a top priority for me personally, is because I don't have Master Bounty-Hunter, and I don't intend to until getting it doesn't so heavily cripple my ability to kill things in both PvE and PvP (and Jedi missions).
(Btw, I love that sig. It's an old classic, but still makes my chuckle)
