Just wanted to say you CAN buff pets with a doctor. The problem is, they vanish when the pet stores--the game simply doesn't keep track when it re-initializes the pet upon calling. This is a major obstacle for group activities with a CH... I've only been lucky enough to have a doc buff my pets "on site" a couple of times, but it does help--with the best breeding I can do, and a doc buff, CH seems almost viable lol... although I'm usually in a big group so it's hard to tell who did what damage to what. I'm also curious about some way to tell for certain that the secondary buffs have an effect when applied (there's no explicit way to tell)... but that's really for your CH Notes, Tiggs ^_^ so I'll stop OT'in

That said.

The issuses I see facing our profession are two-fold


Design

We are supposed to be a first strike threat but we dontdish the damage that say a rifleman can.

We have no defenses to speak of.

Melee profs can take 3 boxes of our skills and be better hunters than a master.


Gameplay Mechanics

Our strongest skill is control of the target. This was nerfed into oblivion

Our specials require weapon changes This was hampered by Jedi Coding

Mission Payouts dont conver costs in the "New Economy"


And on a final note can we get confirmation that Bounty Hunters are the organic method to curb the Jedi population and how that is to be accomplished. (see Jedi XP loss and cloning issues)

The most pressing issue concerning bounty hunter at the moment is having to deal with a devolopement and design team who have no clue how this game works (and doesnt work). Read the sticky threads. Wheres the COMBAT REVAMP DOCUMENTS!?!?!?!?!?!

Hi Tiggs


As one of the long-time bountyhunters (first and last professions since official release of SWG) I'd like to see some love for Bountyhunters. Not just Player Bounty's, which would end in a total griefing, but a spot where real bountyhunters can meet, talk, accept special missions to do them together... Something like the Bountyhunter Station of the Bountyhunter Guild where we could be able to meet famous bountyhunters like IG-88 or even Bossk and his father Cradossk.


Of course this could be combined with a kind of themepark with hard missions, which could be solo-able or which needs a group of Bountyhunters (not just strong mobs, but tasks which have to be done simultaneously). Of course there is so much that CAN be done to make this stylish profession get back it's glamour and "coolness".

I also think of a kind of "Trials" for Bountyhunters - but this would go to far.



As many others already mentioned, the balance is another part which definitely needs to be adjusted!

For memy biggest issues areweapon swith delay and LLC accuracy.

There isno advantage of being a master bounty hunter.

The most pressing issue is the weapon switch delay. It needs to be removed. A master Bounty Hunter can not be effective with a delay.

#1 Issue: Getting theJedi "Not Online" bug fixed.


#2. Issue: Fixing all of the TEF problems.


#3 Issue: Getting rid of the weapon switching delay for BH's.


#4 Issue: Making it soMBH's and ranged BH's are the BEST Jedi killing skill sets, instead of the melee skill sets like it is now.


#5 Issue: Making it soJedi lose their exp on the DB, and not from cloning.

#6 Issue:Raise the penalties for Jedi DB's. Especially when Jedi reach the Knight level.


#7 Issue: Raise the payouts on the Jedi missions to something that isfair to us for the time, money and resources we have to spend to even do them in the first place.


#8 Issue:Making sure the combat rebalance not only actually happens, but that we BH's are made to be what we were always supposed to be. FEARED BY EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY JEDI!!!!


#9 Issue:Making an option to have Spynet dudes in player cities if they haveBH terminals already.


#10 Issue:Make it so BH's can hunt other players like Smugglers and other people who do something wrong in the Empires eyes.


P.S. Please fix as many of these issues as possibe by the timethe next publish (Pub#11) comes out.

Well from what I have gathered and experienced since starting on the road to master BE and then becoming a master BE I have kind of felt like the less important person in a huge family of crafters. I mean the highest xp we would be able to craft with was 168 xp for BSNs and such more for another nutrient but more time consuming. If I had to say something that I like that makes us different is that we are the only class that has to actually go out into the wild and gather "special" stuff from creatures. We have to get within 15m of the creature then go alien style on a creature and probe them to get a DNA sample from them. If I had to see one thing I would love to see more skins that we can use and also the range of a CL creature being used by a non-ch increased or decreased. I mean I would love to own a kliknik personally cause they are so cool but they are a minimum of lvl 15 which is kind of a bummer for me. It would be nice to see some skins toned down a bit and have the minimum CL standard raised to like lvl 12 so we can provide people with not ubber pets but some really nice ones and let the CHs get the high end lvl 14 and above pets cause that I have found is where we can start really going all out. Also maybe could we please :gets on knees begging: please sample maybe an enhanced kliknik or kwi. and maybe make a lvl 70 pet with 16k HAM or so. Let the CHs have a really ubber pet to contend with. Anyways thats how I see myself and would love to see something happen to benefit us and the overral brotherhood of BEs

bounty hunters are supposed to be "all offense" with no defense, thus, they could take down marks quickly and efficiently. however, defenses have been increased to the point that our offensive abilities cant compete, and the lack of our own defenses really hinders us.


other professions get modifiers that enable them to resist state changes, avoid our attacks, mitigate damage, or "block" our shots all together.


it would be nice if bounty hunters could get abilities or specials that would improve our changes of laying state changes onto foes (which might also enhance our abilities to attack high end NPCs/MOBs), increase the odds of our attacks hitting (we are given the element of surprise when hunting marks, yet theres no way to take advantage of this with our current attack inventory) including attacks that might bypass lightsaber block (for example, "fast blast" the master level BH special is worse than "bodyshot2").


also, i think it would be neat to throwsome PC/NPC traps into the BH investigation line. stun darts that might delay attacks, snare ropes, or anything that might make investigation or mastering bounty hunter "worth it".

also, many bounty hunters are disgruntled with the light lightning cannon-- it has low accuracy, speed, and damage output when compared to the pistol or carbine. many bounty hunters use it mainly for attacking lairs, and i dont know of any who use it in PvP situations.


this is definitely wishful thinking, but it would be nice if we could opt out of using the LLC, and instead go back to our master marksman roots and use an alternate (yet to be coded) BH rifle line.

Many people are going to say the same thing but because you've asked for individual and not communal ideas I'll give you my personal top issues;


Critical failures for a BE are not the same as a critical for the mass majority of other crafting professions. Every single animal a BE makes must be made by hand. They can not be run in a factory. Most crafters are making schematics. They aren't making end user products99% of thetime. This means if any other crafter critical fails they failed on a schematic. They shake it off and craft another schematic. Boom, 1000 items just waiting to pop out of a factory. That's one critical out of 1000 items made. There is no waya BE can crank out 1000 animals and only critical fail once. When you throw that ultra hard to get mutant rancor DNA in the mix you end up with some real upset BE's.


The pet validity check has never worked. Please remove the pet checks completely and fix the clone system. CL10 animals that compare to their wild counterparts are declared invalid while CL10 animals with 10K HAM are valid. BE's are relegated to crafting uber CL10 animals because the "real" CL10's don't work. We've received no input from anyone other than broad comments saying the CL10 uber animals are overpowered. My response to those are "thanks for pointing out the obvious." Bio-engineers are left putting restrictions on themselves and/or creating parameters they deem to be valid. Every BE has a different set of parameters. For me, if a critter pops out of my crafting station saying CL10 is sure better be a CL10 and not a CL14 in disguise. Nothing is more frustrating for me than that.

Oh, can you remove the star rating system while you're at it? Most people I know don't care about their rating andhave turned the system off anyway. Just an idea.

i would like BE's to get some form of defenses

we run around poking rancors all day and unless we picked up fencer, we're screwed.... what if we chose ranger? what if we're trying to take down a base? my pistoleer won't really help me much at this point


what i would like, is a skill only usable while peaced and weaponless, to use a consumable item that will protect us (i would also like master BE's to be able to craft this item)
say, a camoflage, skin toughener, absorbing shield, SOMETHING cool

someone brought up an idea i really love for BE's to be able to craft ourown needles or something.... an equippable item that will improve the chance of a sample


basically i REALLY want to make something that i can use..... currently we're just slaves to other professions, selling our goods to others, or needing doctorcomponents to make decent stims


some maskscent mods somewhere in BE...... these still wouldn't work withoutexploration II, but it will save on skill points, as BE is so skill-intensive as it is


i want to see something done about the trading of schematics........ if it were taken out, there's still the workaround to give someone admin, but this means you must REALLY trust the person giving the schematic........ so many people don't buy my chef supplements because they can get it from someone grinding up BE who's selling schemaics for 25k

i would also like to see the chef supplements to correlate with the spcific requirements...... currently, nutrients are the best (not just by opinion; percentage-wise as well), most in-demand, and easiest to make

i want something extra for my hard work to make the other kinds so people will want to buy them


fixing these uber nonch pets

i would like more skins (half of them i NEVER get requests for, never sell, or never even want to make) in fact, my request list includes the cats: bantha, cupa.... that's IT

and a second color options for many skins (like chokus for example) would rock


something similar to the tend skill..... where a BE can suffer a couple wounds to heal a pet for some damage, also some mods so when we use our own pet stims, they will heal more damage and/or heal at a faster rate


i want a bonus if we go sampling in a group...... currently it's just a one-man thing, unless we need someone to kill what comes after us, which is usually NOT the case


i want BE's to be combat and crafting oriented..... so far we run out in the field and sample by ourselves, make stuff at home..... occassionally go to a base raid
i want a creatur handler to ask me to come along next time so i can heal his pet for more than he can, i want to be able to take down a base without everyone feeling they have to protect me and only me because i have no defenses

AGREED. Even master dancers get +7 ranged / melee defence and what do we get? Feck all.
