Absolute minimum for weapons is a laser carbine, scatter pistol and a light lightning cannon.

First do the weapon trees, then start doing investigation. Do investigation missions until you have 10,000 bounty-hunter experience before you learn a new skillbox. The reason for this is that from investigation I the missions go off-planet, which consumes alot more time. With the 10,000 experience points you will be able to train investigation I, II and a bit of III at once.

Jedi bounties are currently worth 15,000 credits. I recommend reading the stickied thread, where Tanks explains the upcoming changes in the bounty-payoutsystem.

If you would like to know more about bounty-hunters, just read this forum. People regularly post stories about jedi they did, or did not kill.

Have fun!

I need some advice on what to do next. I am a TKM/MCH, and I have only about 2 more rare creatures that I want to tame. I do not want to go to lightspeed, and I don't want to get into PvP. I don't want to learn any other professions because they simply don't interest me. I was thinking of doing some quest to get "glowy", but I have heard that Jedi are involved in PvP. Any advice on what I should do next? Or, should I just wait for EQ2 or WoW to come out?

well I thnk you've sort of painted yourself in a corner there. JTL is a blast, I think you should try it. If you don't like it, hey, it's a months' subscription. If you really don't dig SWG then why are you posting here asking our opinions? Do what you want, man

You misunderstood me. I have really dug SWG, and I want to know what there is to do after I max out my professions. If there is nothing that I'll enjoy, fine. But there is no bad feelings about the game for me. It's been a really great ride. I'm posting here because I want the experience to continue.
About JTL, I really don't like "air combat" games, so fighting in space wouldn't be my thing.

Hey i am new to this game, but an old hand at online games. I think that our friend has something there with the help the newbies out, it is always fun. You should try to start a business or something share some of your wealth and knowledge so others can learn, then again the game may just be wearing out for you, as far as your interests are concerned. It happens to some of us in some games. You enjoyed it so now you can move on. Me myself... well I now know that someone has had fun being a trainer I may be one myself just to try something different. That all aside I have a question about macros... I have tried to make them so that I can leave my character alone and he will fight anything that comes around or near him, as well as target the creature before it attacks him (if it will attack). My delimma is that i have not been able to make it work, any suggestions from anyone? I appreciate all the help thanks.

jedi dont have to pvp until a certain level though pvp is fun. at your current state where you only like to pve your gonna burn through a game about every 6months-1 year because theres only a certain amount you can do in the game. i sugest you either get jtl which is amazing go jedi or go pvp which isnt hard from your standpoint because tm is great pvp and ch is the funnest profesion to roleplay inm the game if you want to try that.

Thanks for the advice. I'll start doing some stuff to get glowy and see how it goes.

This is my second trip through CH, last trip was back when you could have 3 rancors out at once and frenzied grauls on leashes were more common than swoop bikes.

The last time I was a master fencer with most of CH, this time i'm thinking of going with a ranged profession and I am thinking pistol, but I'm curious what other players like. I've done rifle and since I'm playing without buffs at this point, I'd like a profession that doesn't kill me that fast. I found that rifle was great as long as you were always on brandy. Pistol seems ok, but my action pool drains fast. Any opinions on carbineer?

My alt is a jedi, so I didn't want to go melee, mostly so I could have a change of pace. But I love CH and I love hunting. So I'm picturing that I will hunt with minimal armor and hang back and let the pets tank (I know this was frowned upon last year, but I still like the strategy).

Any thoughts?

I started off as rifleman and ch, but that didn't work out to well ..

I decided to go tk for the following reasons:

- When hunting alone, creatures tend to come to you, and force you to go melee

- When fighting close to your pets in melee combat, you can keep healing them

- TKM doesn't hurt your mind so badly

- I often stay in the wild for days ... not wanting to travel to another planet for a buff ... powerboost is a godgift then ...

tkm was actually my second choice, but the problem I have is the desire to used ranged combat on the alt since the jedi is all melee. but the more i play my novice pistoleer with CH the more I am realizing how much it stinks to be away from the battle...

I have a little experience with using carbines as a bounty hunter and I can tell you that it kills your action pretty quickly too (at least it did last year). Rifleman works pretty well with CH because of its 3 good area attacks. Depending on what your mind secondary stats are you don't need killer BE brandy to hunt. The only problem that you might run into early with the CH/Rifleman combo is that the lower level pets can't tank that well due to thier low HAM and resists.

I understand your reasoning, but even if you want to stay ranged, most creatures don't ..... they'll come for you ....

I often fight rancor-lairs ..... ever tried to keep 5 enraged rancors on range

I also tried pistols (only 2002), but as soon as the creatures got close,I was screwed ......
