hey i just wanted some opinion on my template idea from some people that are already knights, i figured if i went with the force armor 1 id be able to survive longer in large scale battles since most people target the jedi first and i read about lots of jedi dieing with more then half force pool left, but then again if i did the healer i could cure wounds and bf as the battles going or if you have any other template ideas similar id like to hear them
master saber
4-0-0-4 healer
4-2-0-3 enhancer
4-0-0-0 defender
or
master saber
4-2-0-4 healer
4-0-0-3 enhancer
4-0-0-0 defender

I'll be honest with you, chances are you would never go out and start grinding without buffs. Chances are you have a pocket doctor or one that is really close enough to you to get your wounds taken care ofbefore you buff. You will never die from your wounds, even if you are wounded to the max, you will never have less than 1 point of your original HAMs in wounds (900 base, max 899 wounds.) You really should not spend those points on x2xx healer. Better off spending them somewhere else.

mls 4004 healer 4004 defender 2003 enhance is a dabbler template that has every thing you need... and every skill point is usefull... master healer is nice against Dot weapons, but Id rather just avoid fighting solo vs players with Dot weapons.

I'm currently using the top template you mentioned. I like it personally...dual masteries is over rated by in large. Why? Ok you get a bit more force and broken regen...yippee. I prefer the ability to have more flexibility against my enemies.
The only weakness I've seen with the template is lack of any DoT heal, but like another poster said...just FR2 and get away. You don't have to engage every enemy you see...if you did you'll die more then a gnort.

i really see no point in doing a double master atleast from what ive seen
1 master defender has good defenses, but doesnt do anything of real value jedi vs jedi and you get kited all day and its still not as good as mele stacker in comp vs krayts elders etc and the force defense is pretty much useless since there are very few master power jedi
2. master healer is pretty much a support class not really what im going for
3. master powers seems like a real waste until it gets some tlc granted lightning is good if your oponent isnt wearing 80% comp but how often is that
4. master enhancer is pointless because of the nerf on fr3 and and armor 2 is way to high of a cost to be useful
so i ask why not dabble in a few areas to make myself stronger isntead of taking broken masters that will take twice as long and wont be as effective

Iv been reading alot on here seeing everyone talk about Templates whats good whats not good. and i will read more, i dont visit this forum often but i will now
My template is this because when i started i was told jedi block like everything ranged an Vuln to melee but i still am not good at PvP i picked this cause it looked like good defenses
MasterMarksman, Scout4/0/0/0, Bounty Hunter 3/0/2/0, Brawler 0/4/0/0, MasterFencer, Pistoleer 1/0/4/0
I also DONT have an uber weapons which im sure would help like a Ackly baton or dot weapon or something. I was thinking of going Master Carbineer Master BountyHunter and a couple points into Medic
from everything iv been reading medic is not usless as in if i have to use it iv already lost
also it seems like Pistoleers seem to be better for PVP ?? would be quicker for me to go Master Pistoleer then switch everything to Carbineer, but i was Expert Advice PLEASE. I say i want M carbineer cauee of the KnockDowns and States u can put on them whereas Pistoleer doesnt have that ????

Pistoleer has speed and stat defenses, carbine has higher accuracy and stat offenses. I think that's where it comes down to. You then have to make the choice which one you prefer, stat defenses or offenses and speed or accuracy.
I for a long time have been thinking going the pistoleer route, but ... i also enjoy being an st trooper (besides being a bh), and carbine just seems to be a better match for that role.
Oh I forgot! Many pick the pistoleer route for either the genosian pistol (stun) and master pistoleer for the DE-10, by far the most powerful handgun in the universe. Why does this reminds me of Dirty Harry o.O
Mind you, I don't always pick a class because it's best, but just what I believe is the most fun to play. ymmv.

Currently I run with the following profile: 3-0-0-0 BH/TKM/0-0-4-4 Pistoleer
I've found that I can hammer a good number of jedi, and even a couple Jedi Knights have fallen to me solo(even when they were prepared). This template works GREAT though with a ranged partner. I'm starting up the Fencer tree right now because it has better state and melee/ranged defenses, but it has less toughness, and no meditate (which is very nice to have in normal PvE). However, both profiles can be hard to master, especially against skilled jedi.

I am a Master Carbineer, Pistoleer 0044, BH 3/4/00, and Nov Brawler. I like it better than Pistoleer and I did Pistoleer and It is more fun. In Pistoleer you need to spend a serious amount of cash to be good. I like the Knockdowns in Carbineer and Love The Crippling Shot. I would pick what fits you best. If you want to be a great jedi killer and go after the best I would do TKM but if you like using a gun either go Pistoleer or Carbineer which ever one u like the best, I like Carbineer but everyone is different. Also PVP is very good in Carbineer, just the other day i killed 2 defense stacked PVPers in a duel which was to my suprise, their names are Corndog and Ivepe. If they read this we won. But you have to go on what you like doing. Like Knockdowns vs. Hitting HAM Pools. It is really up to you.
And if you are zarbrak do Nov Brawler instead of Medic. Instead of healing Equalibrum does it and mind and intimadate and warcry great for jedis.
