When I have BF I crit fail half the time. W/o BF hardly ever.

I had a ton of them last night, too. But a few more amazings too. Since I mostly do factory stuff...the crit fails didn't bother me. Though they would have if it were on loot items.

Yeah same here, I had 3 critical failures today whenassembling layers, but I've never had them in the past since I picked up some FS skills. I also managed to break one of the best LVAs I've seen on the server even though I have FS repair
Really do wonder if any of this stuff actually works or not.

I alway s remove all BF and wounds before crafting and I have crit failures very rarely.
I would guess < 1 in 50 fail.
BUT i get very few amazings also.

I use 14.97 tools and good crafting stations, no bf, but i did have some wounds to my health and action, and i was in a research specialized city. I also was gettin quite a few amazings, but they really didn't seem to do much.

I need to finish the assembly portion of my crafting suit.
But even with a decent experimentation suit I have been getting a lot of crit fails on experimentation. And that's at a 44.58 station with near-perfect tools. And no wounds or battle fatigue.

Took the crafting food and drink, I'm in a research city, I use a craft station with 42 functionality rating and I critical failed like 5 out of 25 times on generation2 dna templates.
I used to be an architect back in the day when critical failure meant losing all components and resources..... critical failing on DNA templates is FAR MORE FRUSTRATING!
Architects now get their components and resources back on critical failure because of the large amount of resources and components required for their goods.
I firmly believe the same should be implemented for Bioengineers. The amount of resources aren't nearly as much as Architect, the amount of time required to put multi-generation pets together should warrant this change.
It's probably been mentioned before... just thought I'd vent

I have felt your pain many times, although I've never failed after eating Pyolian Cake. If you're having a bad run of luck, go sit in a manufacturing city instead. Those give a bonus to the assembly roll, a research city gives a bonus to experimentation.

Wish you could pause experimentation and come back to it later, take the bonus from both ends
Hrmm...wonder if you had 2 cities whose borders touched, one was a RC and the other was a MC, and your house was right on the border, with a 43% crafting station right on the line so you could assemble in the MC, walk over to the RC and do your experimenting, would you get both bonuses? =D

Is there any rhyme or reason to how critical failures occur ? or is it completely random?
I seem to be getting a lot of them recently
