Er...I sorta hope this isn't something that'll just be looked at in the future...I mean 50% fail rates thats horrible. I've been at school all day; is this "hotfix" something that was introduced today?

I just ask because I wasn't noticing very many crit fails even yesterday.

I was really upset at losing large amounts of Mutant Rancor dna to critical failurs. Just for fun I put in a csr ticket asking for them to replace what I lost

I knew it wouldn't happen but I was just curious what the reply would be...

I was told "We're sorry but the Bio-Engineer class is working as intended and your dna is lost" lol

Apparently it's intended that BE's have such a high critical failure rate. Fun eh?

CSR's are notorious for embellishment, fabrication and ignorance. Asking a CSR for help with this game is less useful than asking your Bioengineered pet what the best strategy is for taking raiding a factional base, at least your pet won't give you bad info.

He barked at me twice then bit my leg. I knew it was a bad idea to turn his aggressions all the way up

Ona serious not CSR are little to no help. Pikemen have asked repeatedly about HAM costs and were told "Pikeman are working as intended." TH finally looked into it and reported that the HAM costs were too high. Unless you're doing something that makes you better the CSR responce is you are working as intended.

Do your combines in a Manufactoring Center type player city. I noticed a HUGE decrease in crit fails on combines.

Hey guys,

As stupid as this sounds, I was getting a crit failure every 3-4 attempts at making something.

So I started doing little things, and here's what works for me (works like 99% of the time).

After making something, MOVE YOUR CHARACTER. It only has to be an inch really, but move it. Then start up your crafting tool.

I know it sounds retarded, but I do this.. and it actually works (I've probably only gotten about3 crit failures in the past 500 uses or so..)

Why are architects the only ones who get resources back when they critical failure on assembly? Sure us weaponsmiths don't use same volume of resources they do but our resources are a lot more specific. Architects are not the only ones whose items use a bunch of different subcomponents.

I critical failed twice in a row(TWICE!!) on rocket launchers. Each one uses 39 subcomponents(19 for launcher plus 4 in each of the 5 protons) so I lost 78 subcomponents!! There is not enough of a demand to warrant a schematic considering the cost of each one but now I wish I had. Then I would have lost the equivalent of one launcher but instead I crit fail twice and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

If crit fail needs to mean something then have it take the resources. Give us back our subcomponents. I really dont want to spend another day making more protons.

What is going on with the crit fails? AmI just unlucky or does anyone else notice a large increase in the amount of crit fails? Are the DEV's making it so you have to be a Jedi or force sensitive to do anything in this game? I just had 3 crit fails on combines and 5 on experimentation. Are we going to have to get the force crafting tree to be successful? I can't even test out the new polymer I bought because I can't make anything with out it breaking. And before you ask yes I was crafting in a Research Center and using Bespin Port.

Yeah I had to log off becauseI was getting too frustrated. I want to do try for force sensitivity but I don't want my unlucky streak to go onuntil publish 10. Plus the fact ifI have to kill anything I'll be screwed because I'm a total crafter.

Cant say Ive noticed any difference since publish 9 went live - made no end of armor by hand and apart from a rare critical all seems ok to me.

It's been going in spurts for me..one night (day after Publish 9), I was getting a lot of crit fails (43.x station, 14.9x tools, bespin port, pyollian cake). I's say 50% were either assembly fails or experiment fails.

Thethree days after that, not a single failure on anything.

Maybe I just had a stroke of bad luck last night, but critical failures seemed to be rather high. I crafted33 pieces of comp armor last night, 10 of whichI hadcritical failures on. 1 critcal failure was during assembly the other 9 were during experimentation. If i did my math correctly thats a around 30% of the pieces having critical failures. The critical failure rate seemsquite a bit higherto me compared to the last time i crafted any comp which was about 2-3 weeks ago. I'm gonna continue to keep track of my critical fails today and see if its the same. Was just wonderin if anyone else had noticed an increase in critcal failures lately?
