And I'll second that advice. Do exactly as Sotaudi described and you'll make it in no time at all

Just got novice commando this weekend. I bought a launcher pistol. How long would you advice I use the launcher pistol for? Should I use it till I get flame 1 and upgrade to a flame thrower or work all the way to flame 4 with the launcher pistol. Please need input.

The advice I always heard was get to FlameThrower III before you start using a Flamethrower.

Cool thanks. This isn't a commando grind. I want to make my character a master commando/master tera kasi/novice medic. Purely for the idea of a Imperial Commando. So I guess I'll use my launcher till Flame 3

Just a note I'm currently having mild to fair success hunting Quenkers on Dantooine( with Buffs + Good Armor mind you ) using my Flame Thrower( I'm only at FlameThrower I ). I'll use "Suppression Fire I" until they are at close range and then use point blank area and point blank single. I'm having more success with this( faster xp/hour ) than I am using my Launcher Pistol.

Do not wait to get flame to start using your flamethower, it will be a long and most of all boring process. I suggest hunting on Yavin where there are creatures like anglers that are vuln. to heat damage. I started to use my flamethower the second i got flame 1. you will not always hit with it, but it is the best way to get the maximum amount of xp with out waiting a longtime. Also get novice medic now and buy a good +16 medic healing BE shirt, this will work wonders and not require anymore skill pts. I would suggest getting flame 4 and then working whichever tree you want to next. Good luck and congrates on being someone who wants to be a commando and not just use it to get jedi.

Thanks guys. Jedi is fun and all, but my character is a loyal servant to the Empire. Let's put those evil rebels in the ground. Damn terrorists.

Can any Vets please tell me if I will be a better DE by becoming a master artisan? I am looking to diversify and would rather not do domestic arts and do forth... please advise. If MA is necessary for higher order operations on Driods, then so be it. But, please let me know someone, I am not sure.

master artisan parts are needed in I think at last count 22 differant Droid componance, Including the Adv. Droid Brain 4 Emms 4 EGP and the Seekers and Probes (BH droids) the Probes take 1 EMM and 3 EGPs anf the Seekers take 1 Emm and 2 EGPs and consitering its possable to go though a factory run of these amounth (I don't cause I price mine higher and My Vendor is not near where BHs LvL) thats 2000 EMMs and 5000 EGPs a Mounth, so while being a Good Master Droid Engneer does not require Master Artisan, being an efficant one vurtually does

Yes, you'll become a better DE, as well as a richer and less stressed one, if you get Master Artisan. As is commonly known, many DE items require Master Artisan parts, so it makes good sense to get it yourself rather than having to hunt down and buy the parts (cutting into your profits). Also, you can't be a big time DE by having to scrounge a few EGPs or EMMs off the bazaar or off someone's vendor, you need to mass produce these parts to even attempt to be a decent DE. Until you can mass produce them, you'll never put out more than a trickle of final products to sell, and people will go elsewhere.
You can breeze through 3 columns of the Artisan tree making wind generators and things, its very easy and fast. The only thing that will drive you nuts is the surveying column, which takes forever and a day.

This is a very common question. In fact we just had another thread on this a few days ago. If you click forward a page or twoyou will find the thread has alot of useful information in it.
