Thread: Factory question

The resources you put into the factory have to be exactly the same as the ones used in the creation of the schematic (you can check the schematic to see what was used).

You can't use polymer' x' if you used polymer 'y' for the schem, so check the ingredient names carefully.

I hope that helps

The serial numbers of every subcomponent (fasteners, synth, etc) also have to be identical

Ok, I just have a simple question about running a factory. And before I get flamed, yes I did a search on my issue, and did not come up with an answer that explained my issue.

I am currently a tailor 4444 (just working up the axp for master) and wanted to setup a factory run for some uniforms for my guild. I am able to make the individual articles of clothing at my crafting station in my house, how ever, when I take the schematic and the same recourses to my wearable factory, I get a message after 120 seconds that I am out of ingredients and 0 articles have been made. The only thing that does not match for me, and I guess this is my question; When setting up a factory run, do the ingredients have to be the exact ingridents requested in the schematic, even though I did not use those ingridents to make that schematic. does that make sense?

If this has been asked and answered, I'm sorry to take up your time, please post the link on here and i'll be on my way.

I was able to make a crate of synthetic cloth and metal fastners with no problem, both used the same components in the factory run as in the creation of the schematic.

Thanks in advance for any assistance. This is my first crafting proffession, so i'm not too familiar with factories.

and you can put a create of say faceners directly into your factory instead of individually

Okay. Let me break this down and explain it.

Rules:

When you make a schematic, you MUST, MUST!!, MUST!!! use the EXACT same ingredientsfor your factory run.

All items made from the same SCHEMATIC have the same serial number. Doesn't matter if you run them 10 years from now, or give the schematic to somebody else andhe runs it in his factory.

If you're making an item with components, you will need to use components with the SAME SERIAL NUMBER. Meaning, if you want to run something in the factory, you need to run the subcomponents FIRST and make your final schematic with those components.

Run off two or three finals worth of extra components. If you get cute and go only 1 over youwill likelyfail on experimentation or assembly of your final schematicand you will be stuck with an odd run unless you make more subcomponents. Murphy's Law. Extra componentsare always good to have on-hand to run things 1-off for special orders, etc.

Ok,

Thanks for all the feedback. I was able to run off a set of Jackets and pants for my entire guild by keeping track of the compoents, and using facory run synthetic cloth and such. I limited the number of Jackets and Pants to 100 in the schematic, if I need more, I'll just make a new schematic with the materials I have on me.

It makes sense now, Thanks again.

I'm about to run a set of buffpacks for all 6 stats.I have made all of the components (BEC's, SDS's, CRDM's) necessary for this. Since schematics have a limit of 1000 items per I had to make several different schematitcs for each component. For the BEC's for example, 5 crates of 50 foreach stat requires 4000 BEC's. Each set of 1000 obviously has different serial #'s. My question is this: If I use the BEC's from the first set of 1000 to make the schematic for say my Heath packs, can I use those BEC's for the other buff pack schematics or do you have to use the same components in the actual packs as you used in the schematic?

You need the same components in the schematics and the stuff you make with them.

What I do is just write down what I will do with every schematic, then put the components in bags for each med. After that I just pick up the bag and make the schematic from the stuff that is in it.

When you make a schematic, you put in a factory.

The factory will then require the *exact* same materials that went into the making of the schematic.

All of 'em, no exceptions.

You'll need to make all the subcomponents in the factory, so that they're all identical.

After starting a factory, what happens if you stop the factory. Do you lose the schematic and resources?

No, if you stop the factory, it just won't make anymore of whatever you're making until you turn it back on again. YOu still keep the recourses and schematic
