ok here is my issue....and before anyone says it cant be done i have seen it on other servers.
iam trying to make a mass of BE factory pets only thing is my factory is not seeing my schematic and yes if you are allowed to make schematic you should be able to use it.
i have tried to load it into three different factories now..i skipped the structure factory because even i can see thats wrong, however it will not give me access to the schematic slot at all and yes i am admined to these factories
someone please tell me what gives

if you've seen it on other servers why not go ask them?
Or just accept that it cant be done.

Yep, can't be done. And if you think about it, factory runs require identical ingrediants, and we all know DNA is not identical.
Also, without a screenshot showing the schematic loaded into the facotry, the ingrediants showing DNA needed, and the crate of pets, I wouldn't believe it.

If I have a schematic made from non-factory components, can I use factory-made components in the hopper for the factory?

No, the serial numbers of components used in making the schematic have to match the serial numbers of components in the input hopper.

I mean no offense, Zeck, but it's really scary that a community elder MDE is asking that question.

Hehe, yeah, it is. I started back at release, was a Master Architect. Left the game due to many a bug, just recently came back. I could remember (ya know, those foggy little memories in the back of your head) about factories and serial numbers and such, but was not positive. Amazing the little details you forget over time

So how do you like the game now that so much has changed since you left? :-) Big improvement? I think so, I've only been playing since Thanksgiving weekend and it has changed a lot, mostly for the better.

Ouch, loaded question. Let's just say, it's better. I could probably type a page or two on my personal beefs with the game still, like 40% and Everlasting Droids. But I'll leave it at, it's better

I have an equipment and general Item factory in which I have made many things. However, I am unable to load a schematic for a generic crafting tool. Is this the right factory to make a generic crafting tool in? And if so, why won't my schematic load?

Let me start by not really helping you with this question and say " I don't know". But, I would think that it because Generic Crafting tools are too easy to come by and make with another generic crafting tool or a WDG crafting tool. The game developers might not have wanted them mass produced for some reason, like burning CPU cycles to create a little used easily obtainable item in the game. This is just an idea, I really don't know.
