There is no place more unforgiving and truthful than a battlefield. Name,Rank, Means nothing your true colors show through. Unless you have experienced it you have no room to talk, the rules change and, or are broken lives and friends lost but in the end you still stand. Does that make you a Hero or Lucky?

I don't care what you guys do to Artisans - until you are willing to discuss the flaws in the economy, the horrific gameplay for artisans, and the utter lack of 'business' related tools that we the 'economic backbone' of SWG have to deal with.

Once again, you are tweaking a class that has fundimental flaws - and yet we have had no discussion on these flaws, their solutions, and what you all intend to do about it.

I fully understand that combat classes are the priority - FINE, I'm OK with it. The LCD is where your bread and butter is. However knowing how long the development process takes - I CAN NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME UNDERSTAND WHY YOU REFUSE TO ENGAGE THE DISCUSSION.

It seems that the plan is to BEGIN the discussion with the artisans when everything else is done. Once again I would like to suggest that EVEN IF WE GET NO DEV TIME FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS - WE AT LEAST DESERVE A DISCUSSION ON WHAT CAN BE DONE SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE.

Until then - do whatever you're gonna do - because we're going to be revisiting everything in the future anyway.

Definately go for #2. MA's create the item and everybody can use it. Also, make the color stick forever. People will change their vehicle colors whenever they get tired of the current one, no reason to FORCE them to constantly dye their vehicles (and droids for that matter). Also, if the dye vanish after a few days why cant we get some of that superdye that is underneath (the original colors never fade)?

As a Master Merchant (Graduated today) and an ex Master Artisan I much prefer option #2 for some or all of the reasons I have read here and on the In Testing board. Oh and as a customer I prefer option #2

As to how long? Let it fade over a looooong time. Like weapon degradation. I don't need to use a weapon repair tool every day. Every week if I am ALWAYS in combat. Every month as it is for me currently. But save the settings so I can get the SAME color back. I don't want to futz with it every time I paint it no matter how long it lasts.

Not an MA, but as a droid owner, trying to get my droid coloured has been a real pain in the backside! I've never found anyone willing to do it, or they tell me to bring them the resources for the kit before they'll consider doing it... and as I'm both Doc & combat person, I'm continually swapping between my wee R2 and my kaadu. 20 calls? About 3 hours of game play! So I just put up with the puke-green / violent yellow combination that seems to be the most popular random colour choice!!!

In addition, comment below deserves kudos. Surely this is what an MA would want...

If I had to see a MA every time I wanted my vehicle painted I wouldn't even bother, if I could do it myself and just buy the kit I'd repaint it every time it was needed.

I can understand some MA wanting this to be done just by them but they may get less income this way, it would be just too inconvenient for many people.

Just a thought...

Master Artisan make the tools.

Only Image designers can use them.

Make image designer's in demand a bit more

I think that anyone should be able to use the kit.

Further, I think this should be the case for the Droid Customization kit.

Have the paint on droids and vehicles deteriorate, but allow the kit to be used by anyone.

I choose both doors

no seriously how about this compromise.

MA can make the tool, everyone can use. But, if its used byMA the colourisation lasts x2 as long?

**edit** no edit button....

MA should be able to make it, everyone can use it. But MA gets a bonus to the colourisation duration.

in Real life you can give your own car a custom paint job or a touch up, but its never going to be as good a professional paint shop (unless thats your job).

So reward MA's for doing the painting, by making it last longer before fading.
