Well, to be honest, the only dmg you'll be doing in pvp is posion dmg, looking at pve dmg though its just under the swordsman with a scythe dmg (atleast thats what i get the feeling off) Could try finding that DPS calculator and check how big the diff is : )

can I not become an effective melee class because I am a zabrak (who started as a scout)?

nevermind, I was just informed that "anyone can be good if you do a stat migration right". that being said...
I need some mo' advice
on new stats for a brawler and later pike. right now my stats look like this:

Well, i suggest u migrate all your stats to your mind and any spare devided between your action & health, wont matter anyway when your buffed, thats the way i have my stats, im a mon cal though.

Heya Ranger_Nizzle
While many answers have been given to answer yer questions, they have all missed a big point.. yer a master ranger! I can tell you from my own experience (ranger 4/3/4/4 and pikeman 3/3/4/3) that it is a wonderful combination!
someone mentioned something about pikemen being decent at pve, well they are. but a ranger/pikeman is durn excellent at pve. they forget about the pluses when fighting critters that rangers get.. not to mention traps.. i love traps.. i think they should be allowed pvp.. i'd wreck havoc then.. anyway i digress.. just to give a small example of how good i'm talking about.. with similar skills to what's listed above, mediocre buffs (1600-1900), mediocre weapons (440 max dmg), 50% armor, and a pocketfull of brandy i was out soloing rancor missions for fun and profit.. and they weren't even that tough.. this surprised several of my guildmembers who had mastered one combat profession and were working on their second before they were able to do the same thing..
as for pvp someone mentioned the gunners running away from ya.. and that everyone runs at the same speed... hehe.. not rangers.. when you can run/burst run faster than most mounts, it's hard for someone to get away from you on foot.. but you still have the problem of an eye-shot or two taking you down.. i haven't pvp'ed much.. but i can hold my own against most professions..
as for ranger/pike by itself.. i couldn't imagine being anything else.. just can't wait to master both and figure out what to do with the extra skill points..

I'm not much for the PvP in this game (macro wars) but in PvE there isn't much that I can't take down. Rancors fall as easily as durnis. 
With the combo of ranger and pikeman, the nightsisters are easier to find and kill as well. Should make finding a nice vibroaxe and vibrolance much easier. I highly recomend pikeman. I have several friends that are swordsmen and I cause every bit as much damage as they do.

Just wondering what would be best w/ Master Fencer and Master Tailor leaving me 66 points left...not enough to master another profession but enough for 3 bars leaving 4pts. Would getting TKA be best?Also this is for PVE and not PVP

Yeah your best bet would be TKA, all trees but power (think thats 4404). You get extra defenses plus the abilities to meditate your wounds away

my question is this.
i need like 2 million pistol xp points,i got novice pistoleer and all pistol stances boxes to help me with the leveling.
anyone think i should get the bh pistol boxes as well' by doing so i get 40% more acuracy and speed.
please help me out guys i really like smuggler but because i need so many points im kinda thinking of droping it,i had to craft and a slice a lot and im really bored hehe

It's entirely up to you bud. Me?? I went the "hard" way and got all my smuggler skills BEFORE I did pistoleer. WRONG move for fast advancement. The way you want to go is pistoleer first... then do smuggler. but it depends on what you want your final "template" to be. if you want the BH, go BH. <shrugs> it's something that is entirely up to you. In either case, I wish you the best of luck and hope you do well. Me?? I drink beer and smile now

i am master swords/brawler/fencer
i have 47 skillpts
should i... pick up the d line in pikeman
get pistoleer defence tree (i might have to drop master swords)
