I'd actually consider doing 4300 in TKA for meditation, force of will, and some defenses. Force of will can be handy, plus you can heal your own wounds with this if you get killed, or take care of bleeding, poison, or disease in a pinch.

The previous posters suggestion of pikeman defensive tree is a good one too, really just up to personal preference.

Well I would definatly go up the line for Pikeman Defense. 3/0/4/0 Pikeman then pick up novice medic.

Hi there folks, I am new to the Politician profession, and I need some help regarding my city (I am a Newbie, plz dont hurt me!:smileywink

Probably my number 1 problem is membership. I offered a Swoop and Free house to those intersted, and so far half of them left the first week, and 1 did not even set down soil in my city at all (Kraask, Eclipse server.) I also get messages that people want to move in, yet days later they still are not responding. There is also a lack of people to move in, they do not want to.

So my question to the community is, What can I do to save myself and my city from total oblivion? I have tried and tried, but no one seems to want to go on trips I offer, or just take my offers and *poof* out of the city the next day. Anythign I can do? or should I just let my city peacefully die?

Thanks,

-Jade

^^ sorry I am having difficulty with my computer, I will have my original post back up soon

Hmm, I've never had a problem with people taking the free house and swoop and then just leaving when they were offered (we're over rank 4 so we don't really need to recruit anymore) so maybe just try finding better people to bribe into your town

Beyond that, see if there are any guilds that wouldn't mind setting up as the main membership of your city. This doesn't mean you'll be a "guild town" but just a town with a guild or two in it. It'll get you some more visibility if the guild(s) start to prosper and get reputations and it'll ensure your numbers since people are less likely to leave a guild and city over just the city itself.

yeah kurrin is right about getting a pa to move in. This will increase ur numbers and take some of the weight of pimping citizens off ur back. Beware however, We've had 2 guilds move in during our time and both moved out again eventually. It's natural that when a guild swells to a certain size then they start to get political aspirations of their own, so bare this in mind when inviting pa's and dont b angry if they want to set up on their own eventually.

Apart from that I never really had much probs with pimping citizens. Never gave away swoops or cash or anything. Just spent about 3 or 4 months hanging about starports and cantinas talking to ppl. Anyone that seemed like they would fit in I invited to the city.

U will always have a citizen turnover tho, ppl will move to different places to be with friends or for a better offer. I've found that the more attention u give to each new citizen the better. Invite ppl that u get on with anyway and that the others in the city will get on with. Spend some time on the tells to ur new citizens after they move in. More often than not they have ideas (good and bad) for the city and will even help u with ur duties hehe. Also running a guild town i find is a lot easier than non guild city. We started as a non aligned city but after having 2 pa's thru town and loosing touch with alot of the unguilded players we decided to make our city guild only. I've found it alot easier to coordinate matters from guildchat as opposed to sending mailshots and arranging meetings.

Hope some of this helps u

Im currently Master Doc\Master Rifleman grinding my last force sensitive line. Now Im completely out of skills points, so Im letting the XP build up so I wont have to drop anything just yet. However when the time comes I will have to drop either Master doc or rifleman in order to train. So my question is, which master profession should I drop?

i'd drop master doc....drop to 0440 so u can still buff and hide way out in middle of no where. Maybe drop rifles if u can stay off the terms....or keep it if u gonna fight BHs. since def mods wont work with LS equipped theres no point u pickin up melee aside from nov brawler for intimi and berserk. But droppin doc or rifles depends on ur play style tho and healing is prolly very important for a naked defenseless n00b jedi. also u may wanna keep rifles for the exit quests too

I'm currently TKM and creature handler 2111, working on MCH. I've noticed that theres a lot of pve stuff i just cannot do well against. With only AP1 and kinetic damage, i'm pretty much out of high end pve. Cant do kimogilas (the bigger ones, can kill normals fine), elders, rockshapers, krayts, pretty much anything with high armor or kinetic resist.

So, i'm thinking about dropping to 4000 tka once i get master CH and picking up another profession for combat, probably either swordsman or pikeman.

So which is preferred? Swords and pikes both get ap2 weapons, and have good area attacks and are excellent at pve. Just need some advice on which would be better. I'd get rifleman, but it costs a bit too much in the way of skill points and every time i've tried to grind rifles i've given up

I have a TKM and he can solo a krayt,

Just make these adjustments to your stats "You will need to image designer to finalyze the changes"

Mind = maximum

Willpower = maximum

Focus= maximum

Then devide the rest of your points evenly on the rest of the stats

Once this is done get a good 2k doctors buff and a some vasarian brandy & Ahrisa

After getting the buff take 2 drinks of brandy and 3 servings of ahrisa and put on some good High kenetic resistant armor.

Now your ready to go out and take something apart.

If your going after a real big and mean critter you may need to take some stems

Oh and heres a little trick i do which can really save your bacon.

Get an entertainer buff but dont activate it untill you really really need it, If your mind gets real low just type /stopwatch "if you got a dancer buff" or /stoplisten "if you got a musician buff"

I got made overt once and some imp players ganged up on me and kept doing mind shots at me When my mind was just about gone i activated the two mind buffs and got a real nice boost. They called me a cheater and left after i took 2 of them down

Alright, so i'm currently 1000 LS and I get about 80k per buff session. At Novice sabers using a DB saber I pulled in 70k. I was wondering if instead of getting 2000 LS if you guys think I should just go 1010 or even 1100. I just don't know if 1h is worth it any more, I originally decided to do this because it hits mind but it's just too slow all my friends who are passing me up and i'm grinding more than they are...

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you

a lot of it has to do with technique.

  1. get a group before you get a buff

  2. start with quenkers and stay with them till sabers4

  3. use pikata pie and bio clothes to maximize defenses

  4. use your normal weapon(s) when your in trouble

  5. use your normal weapon(s) to tap the lairs

  6. its always slow at first less you have ahd a lot of experience grinding skills

i don't know why everyone says pikta pie for quenkers lol, i was spinning them since db1 with 0 food and 1/1/1/0 in medic just fine, a bit more healing speed woulda been nice but that's it.
