Yeah, Flushing Shot 2 is AOE. I use my pet to agro all the mobs on to him, then spam Flushing Shot 2 until they all drop. Another way is to have your pet hit the nest, then spam Flushing Shot2 on the mobs.

Hi Guys

I am a Master Squad Leader and Master Artisan (prepping for JtL)

I was planning on goin 0040 in Pistoleer with the last of my skill points, that is all that I can fit in, it there a better way to go pistoleer using the same ammount of skill points?

Thanks

Well, going up 1 column takes 14 skill points. If you were to try to take 2 columns with the same amount of skill points, you'd only be able to get 3 boxes (2 tier 1 skills, and 1 tier 2 skill). So it's pretty much a matter of which column to take.

Your choices are probably either Fan Shot (0040,as you have chosen), or Pistol Melee Defense 1 & 2 and some much needed speed (0004). As much as we like Fan Shot around here,I'd be slightly more inclined to go with the latter. The KD will help you kite, and the speed will help you kill.

What are you going to be using it for? If it's to help out your group, in all honesty, you'd be better off spitting out state effects and knockdowns with Carbineer.

Hey guys,

I know this has been asked before, and is partially in the FAQ, but I wanted some people's opinions. I am currently 2-0-1-2 in Carbineer and am thinking of getting the BH carbine tree (for the speed mods). I have enough XP to get the first two boxes of BH carbines (and want to eventually get the whole tree). Have people found this is a good or useful approach? I am not worried about not having medic (I will just get buffed and use armor). I have run some calculations and it seems this would make carbineer about (or more) powerful than a rifleman or TKA (in PvE). Is the BH tree a good investment, or a waste?

As you pointed out, you will have to sacrifice medic skills, as well as any sort of good defenses. My suggestion, if all you are looking for is speed, is to save up some cash and buy some speed skill mods on your server's trade forums. The time spent getting them is well worth, in my opinion, the saved skill points. I think you'll find that having a melee profession that has good defenses, such as fencer or TKA, can be a pretty good combo, and you can also have medic. Hope this helps you out, and not confuse you any further lol. Good luck.

I was BH 0400 + Master Carbineer for awhile and I was not that impressed. Sure the speed was great but the skill point investment is rediculus and not having any medic skills sucks. Plus while the specials are nice they really are redundant with what you have at Master Carb.

I totally agree with EisMan. Save up the credits and get the attachments. You can always make more money but you will never get more skill points. If you don't have the credits now go ahead and get BH Carbs but start saving anyway. Then you can back off of BH as you get the SEA's and reinvest the skill points into defnesive or medical skills.

I was also BH carbine 4 for awhile. I was very fast and didn't miss much, but I could not stay on my feet. I go KD very easily and people could hit me too easy. Since then i have obtained skill tapes and dropped the BH carbine line for a more defensive approach.

If you do not have the money for tapes, the BH line might be what you want. I personally wouldn't be a carbineer without shooting at the speed cap, but that is just me. If I HAD to play it without speed, I would be a doctor too.

Do you think you can do 24 professions between now and when publish 10 comes out? Don't just grind and hope the next one will open. Plan on having to do all 32 professions to unlock as a Jedi, which is gonna require more credits and time than I think you have given it credit.

Have you used the Holocrons? They will tell you what professions you need to do. All but the last one. I went through 4 before they went silent.

The Dev's have said that you will get credit for any and all professions you have mastered on your path to Jedi.

Good luck.

Try to do the scout/ranger professions...quick and easy. Squad leader is one that shouldn't be too hard to do. After that, figure a week per combat profession and if you use a crafting macro, 1-5 days for crafting professions. I hope you have LOTS of credits/resources.

Hey pikemen!

I am considering a offensive profession change. as of now, I'm a master ranger, and I have room for one master weapons profession. I've been considering pikeman as one of them. I always thought polearms are the coolest but I have a few questions:

1) I hear you guys are quite good at pve. can you solo most things with as much ease asmaster fencer, master swords, tkm, etc.?

2) as for pvp... how good are pikemen in pvp?

I'm asking this because since I'm a ranger I need a combat profession that can own any creature out there. but I love pvp combat and I want a profession that can be equally satisfying there. Any and all input is appreciated.

thanks.
