Thread: Official Vehicle Info (and TH's vehicle response) [Wednesday, Dec 10th]
it's been my experience that regardless of what's required, that a high oq lowers the % chance of failure.
but the only stat wthat can change on vehicles atm is their Hit Points, which is determined solely by the metal's SR.
also there are no sub components, but i'm sur ethat the metal is "broken up" just like when you go to make a personal harvestor, it may have a total of 200 metal, but there are 2 slots that require 50 metal and 1 slot that takes 100.
i'm pretty sure that's how vehicles are setup for the time being, there are no "sub components" so to say ^_^
i haven't been to TC to try and craft one, so i may be completely wrong.
Does this mean that anyone with Engineering 4 will be able to craft vehicles?

PAX My friend's brothers' girlfriends' cousins's friend said you are selling them for 3 K . I want 20. I know you're ripping everyone off selling them for 4 K and getting rich like all artisans at the expense of the poor combat types who can't get 50k missions on Talus anymore.
My god, I can't count how many times I heard this as an Architect... It's no wonder I dropped Master Architect
I've got a question about the vehicles though...
So those resource requirements are in solid chunks? Is the final product schem just two slots for metal and no sub-components?
That's an excellent question. Do we need 6400 of the same ferrous resource for a swoop or is it smaller slots of ferrous metal? I was assuming all one big lump and then I realized that there are a lot of weapon components that call for a quantity of metal but it's divided into 5 boxes (blaster pistol barrels for example).
I know that we haven't actually seen the real schematic yet but does any one on test center know if it has to be identical ferrous or identical non ferrous?
And now that TH is saying quality of the metal counts are we sure which category? Does anyone know if we are talking SR, DR or just OQ?

Sorry, I was probably too excited to see this, as I was reading fast and may have missed it, but......
When do vehicles go live outside of TC please?
Looks like I'm gonna be busy... ![]()
I've read most if not all the vehicle post I've come across on the board, but have not seen any mention of colors. Will we be able to change vehicle colors, or will everyone be driving grey speederbikes and tan landspeeders?
Vaedross,
Thanks for the nice concise collection of information on vehicles. I have one question though. Looking at the dates on the posts it looks like your third link is obsolete. The first link is dated 12-11 at 10:34. At this link it says that vehicles will slow to 70% over water. The third link is dated 12-10 at 8:25. It says that vehicles wil not slow over water, but they don't like that, and are looking in to it. If the first link is right, it looks as though they have looked into it, and have changed it, in which case the third link can only cause confusion among those interested in vehicles.
Vehicle colors will probably not be in the first patch.
Right now my money is on a Tuesday or Wednesday release. You know there's going to be a few people taking either Tues or Wed afternoon off for ROTK
Well I am glad to hear that being a Master Artisan finally will pay off for me I was fixin to drop it.I want to know if i can have all three vehicles in my data pad?Does it take up my droid or creature slots or does it have slots of its own? Thanks ,Sharkey Machine ,Tempest ,Master Artisan,Master Weaponsmith, merchant, scout,Novic CH,marksman.
"Decays 25 condition per "tick" (10 minutes)"
So that's 100cr per 10 minutes, 600 credits an hour to runthe fastestvehicle.
A top notch 2500 HAM vehicle will last 100 ticks, or 600 minutes, or ten hours of use.
People who do a lot of travelling with Swoop bikes(and who have to keep their vehicles out because they otherwise could not recall them), will need a new vehicle every three nights of play time, roughly, or else pay 10k for repairs.
I agree we need more money sinks, but I am afraid that you guys are trying to do too much with one drain.
