Thread: Official Vehicle Info (and TH's vehicle response) [Wednesday, Dec 10th]

Looks like they're mixed up. I think the speeder should have the 5k total. x34 should have 8k total, swoop should have 6k total.
I think just swapping the numbers you gave between X34 and Swoop would be more accurate. The Swoop is such a minimal vehicle while the scout bike would be made of more material than X34.
I just wanted to clear something up because Im not following so sorry if this was already stated.
The schematics call for ferrous and non ferrous metals (iron, steel, aluminum, copper, etc). Why is ore mentioned? Just asking so that I have the right resources available. Currently I have no ore but I have all the other materials.
Thanks
I guess Im a couple of days late. I've been worrying about Steel and now I see that Swoop Bikes are going to be 4 parts copper/alum to 1 part steel/iron.
This makes me feel alot better... I have tons of copper and iron, but was having a hard time with the steel.

I am a bit confused on the decay rate... if I am understanding this correctly we need to sit by a garage daily?
Maybe I am reading it wrong or do not fully understand it.
Thanks in advance for feedback
Based upon my experiences on TC last night, your garage use is going to depend upon how often you store/generate your vehicle. For me that was the biggest hit as I rarely had it out and moving longer than 10 minutes. At these speeds, I went from New Unity to Theed in less than 1 tick and I can't really see trips longer than 1-2 ticks. I was running crafting missions on the Deeja Peak to Moena run so I was storing and generating quite often and I only had to pay about 500cr to repair it that day. It was taking exactly 2cr/point to repair so based upon that,I don't really see it as much of an expense.

I think your reading that wrong... it takes 3 ferrous (steel) to 1 non-ferrous (alum) ratio for a speeder and goes on up but always with more ferrous over non-ferrous.
What factories will use vehicle manyfacturing schematics? No one has answered this that I can see.
"Also, Vaedross, can you kindly educate TH on the different between Ore and metal in this game." (and to all the others who are saying the same junk)
Metal is a type of ore. TH didn't make a mistake. SWG is not in any way representitive of real "mining" operations (mining steel for example, makes no sense when you think about it, as steel is a compound). However some people do apply knowledge outside of SWG sometimes, in TH's example, he said ore because that's what it's normally called. Since metal is a type of ore, he was technicaly right to call it that, but in SWG since metal is not cassified as ore, which I personally view as a mistake.
(Have you never heard the term iron ore? Or copper ore?)
FYI, the factory you are referring to is called an equipment factory.
Onyonyony,
Thank you for answering that so I did not have to.
