FIRST TIME IN HERE I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW MUCH TO SELL VEHICHLES FOR. I WAS JUST THINKING OF HOW I BOUGHT A T-21 RIFLE FOR 50K, AND I PAID 145K FOR MY SUIT OF COMPOSITE ARMOR, AND I BOUGHT A MEDIUM HARVESTER WITH A BER OF 9 FOR 50K, AND I PAID OUT OVER 120K FOR MY MOUNT. SO KNOW THAT I GET TO SELL SOME THING HOW MUCH DO I CHARGE ????? I THINK IF WE USE THE LOGIC IN REAL LIFE A GUN CAN BE BOUGHT FOR BOUT 1K AND A DECENT CAR FOR BOUT 15K, AND IN GAMER LIFE IF WE USE THAT MINDING GUNS R BOUT 3K-100K DEPENDING ON WHAT U BUY THEN VEHICHLES SHOULD RUN ABOUT 350K-1MIL. AND OF COURSE LETS NOT FORGET THOSE HOLOCRONS AT 5MIL A PIECE. SO WHERE DO WE DRAW A LINE NEED HELP PLZ.

NOPTRAIL- That partially depends on what server you're on and how much resources are going for. I know on some servers resources are going for as little as 3-4creds a unit, so they would be relatively cheaper there. On mine, however, lately I've been seeing resources for 10-20cr/unit (*grumble*) so they'd be substantially more expensive. But with economic inflation, it's all somewhat relative.

As a crafter, the amount you sell something for should have little to do with the current price of resources. Especially since resources are the least expensive part of running a successful crafting buisness.


The economy works on supply and demand. When vehicles go live in the middle of this week the demand will be high, but there are also a lot of punks like me who have been mining hardcore since vehicles went on the test centre, so there is a good supply of minerals ready to go to. The market will fluctuate for a while and eventually level out.


From what I've been reading the expectation seems to be 100k-200k on release day - only the richest will be able to afford that, and that is a small number of people, but that's the way that life goes. As the demand goes down, so will the price of a vehicle,and more will be able to afford one. A fair expectation for the price of a vehicle after the intial push is in the 25k range.


Remember, life isn't fair - and neither is SWG. Lots of people would like to have a Ferrari, only a small few can afford it. That's the way life goes.


Sell your vehicles for whatever you can get. If you sell them cheap, others will buy them from you and sell them for a lot more. Any Master Artisan who sells his/her vehicles for less than 100k is making a big mistake. And they're making the slimy scum who buy those cheap vehicles very rich.


Don't believe the hype. The combat classes are rich. Four guildmembers can get together on Yavin4 and in two hours earn 60k a piece doing missions without taking advantage of any exploits. I tagged along once with a Master Smuggler and a Master Doctor/Master Combat Medic. I was only Marksman 3/3/3/3 at the time. The three of us were getting missions for 11k. No exploits. The combat classes are rich, milk em!

p.s. when was the last time you heard of a Master Commando selling Holocrons for cheap to crafters. Crafting isn't a habbit. It's a buisness. Fun, but still a business.

if you look back into the movies... luke sold his landspeeder for less then 16k I think it was.


Obi one proposed a deal to Han Solo which was to pay 2k before leaving then on Alderan pay the rest which was 16k (I think... havn't watched the movies in a while now). So I doubt Luke ever got 100k or 200k for his landspeeder...


But you know this isn't the movies... everything in the game is based off the movies but, no, it's not the movie. Fighters I will agree are rich as hell. Artisans coudl be rich as well, you guys just don't know where or how to sell your stuff. (for the poor ones).

for shame all you master artisians that don't have minerial harvesters set up on some planets. being a master medic with most of artisian skills, i needed resoruces for crafting*cough grinding* meds. i alos provide little food stuffs, since no chefs will sell their wares on the bazaar, nor keep their vendors stocked. i usually have a lot of metals, ores , water, and chems on hand. if i have too much stock in houses ,and bank storage, i sell it. someone will need it. if this is true, about any ore/metal can be used, will thats great, cause it's real hard trying to find non-ferrous and ferrous metals, as well as stuff you exactly need. i have one big question. what is solid petro fuel used for. now, if we are talking rl, i would say it would be used for the shuttles, but i see no need for this stuff in-game, yet. also lubericationg oil. the droids don't seems to need it, and i use other petros for craafting shoes, better quailty too.

Well, I will often use solid petro for crafting medicines, they're a chemical with often high potential energy ratings But that's just me.

I'm still not sure why it can't be processed through some device and used for energy in harvesters.

Someone help me. Which tool do you use for vehicle crafting. The scematic says you need a specialized tool. Don't know what that is.
