I always find myself needing wooly hide for whooly specific items. I don't use bone at all. Most hides are in 5 units, so 5,10,15,20,30,40 are usually what you will average per specific item requiring hide. Quality I do not believe matters at this point until there is clothing decay. At that point, OC and durability will likely be the most important factors. (But honestly, I don't think there's a tailor on this forum who wouldn't mind terrible decay rates on clothing.)
Already mentioned in the other forum, but slightly different for Novice Medics who are sometimes short on supplies. Basically Meats. Meats are the only harvestable organic with a Potential Energy rating.
High OQ, PE & UT are what medics need. (No UT on meat, but there it is nonetheless.)
since bone armor is one of the best things to craft for experience, any quality of bone in large quantities (it takes about 400 to make a full set of bone armor)..and leather hides.
I suggest selling harvested resources in stacks of 250 units, for 750+ credits depending on quality.
For spice IV, fruit and water. I don't know if that's a scout skill or not to gather such items.
As the others said, quality doesn't matter. It's broke for a smuggler. Doesn't matter what we use, the effects are the same whether it's 4% or 96%. All drugs are created equal.
I go onto the Bazaar term and buy the cheapeststuff available.
Herbivoire and avian meat. Stacks and stacks of high OQ/High PE herbivoire/avian meat, if possible all from one planet.
Darn enhance packs. I spent all day yesterday on Lok witha friend collecting both of these and ended up with enough to make 600 advanced units (CRDM's if I remember right - at work now).
I'm just surprised that "incest" wasn't on the word filter already. We would have really been wondering what you'd said if it had been.
As for scouts: meat! Lots and lots and lots of high OQ/PE meats!

Thanks for the inquiry. I'm a miner, I don't really craft much except a few harvesters now and again.
But scouts can be INVALUABLE to a miner such as myself. I would urge you to remind your Scouts that miners search high and low for certain resources, but can't always get to every planet (in fact, I'd say rarely).
Miners can use good scouts to keep an eye on the resource shifts of various planets in order to locate that rare resource. The exact resources would depend on the miner, but finder's fees and the like could be negotiated.

Out of 15 different spiceschematics we can use eventually:
- only one requires bones
- four require meat
- four require organics in general
Only two of those are Level III spice, rest are lower. Considering that only Level IV spice are in any serious demand, Scouts don't have much to offer to us, Smugglers.
