Thread: Vehicle Pricing ?
Did you stop and think that it may NOT be about the money? That just MAYBE they don't need the money? That just possibly they are doing this (like I am) to give something to all players that we feel everyone should have (including entertainers) and to help offset the price gougers?
well i would be MORE than happy to lower my prices, IF the amount of resources was lower, BUT since its not i will be charging a hefty fee. pure simple supply vs demand.
The harder it is or more expensive it is to make something means that FEWER then the demand will be made. the FEWER bikes there are the higher the price people are WILLING to pay. if you dont want a bike rightaway then DONT buy one. and if you do want one right away then pay what your gonna pay and dont bitch about it.
and those of you who are gonna give them away then go ahead, GIVE THEM AWAY. you cant make as many as you are gonna be asked to make, and i already have at least 1.5-2 million worth sold once the patch goes live. so do what you want and sell for what you can or want to. lol you cant take away from our profit.
Well I am retiring BE to an extent, and I wont be making prices, I am charging what the going rate is at launch. What the rate will be you ask, that depends on how bad somebody wants one. When mounts came out, I sold 3 mounts for 850k i think. They were paying what it took to get one, I just auctioned them off, and they fixed the prices. Mounts will still be needed, but I got tired of BE.
So you cant really put a price on something till the patch hits.
I will be selling them on my vendor, look on my signature for my vendor location.
Oh, ECLIPSE SERVER )![]()
I plan on buying out all the low priced vehicle vendors on my server and reselling at a higher price. I will corner the market MUHAHAHAHHAHA!
(just kidding, but I have thought about it)
I tend to agree that selling them for 2-4 cpr is exactly the same as selling the raw resources, which is at a loss since that doesn't cover expenses, or even labor.
But still if it makes people fell good to do this thats cool, I mean if they like being generous and that gives them that warm fuzzy feeling- more power to 'em.
I justhope they realize that they aren't really doing a good deed by selling so low. Although the intention is to sell cheap to give poor players a break, whichis very nice and noble, butthat's not what will actually happen. People are going to be opportunistic of that low-pricing generosity and resell. So we come back to the question: what's the point in selling so low when your good intentions aren't being honored, but rather taken advantage of?
The resource costs on live will be:
X34 Landspeeder - 4250 res
Swoop Bike - 6000 res
Speeder Bike - 8000 res
my expected price will be:
X34 Landspeeder - 40k
Swoop Bike - 60k
Speeder Bike - 80k

Wala that is may to much for any vehicle, unless it came stocked with weapons, armor, and a few extra upgrades for speed and handling.
Im not into Master Artisan to make money like you are apparently. Only a complete fool would go for your price.
Want to know my price for them on opening day?
try 4 credits per unit of resourses used in it. Ill crank them out of my 2 factories and sell them to my guild and several of our allies. Then I will sell them to anyone else that wants one.

Selling raw resources doesn't give artisan XPs, crafting vehicles does...
The only reason a master artisan needs general crafting xp is to get into an elite crafting profession. At the current rate of xp it will only take a few vehicles to get that xp. Beyond that you're shooting yourself in the foot.

I'll be selling them for about 2CPU so as to help kill off the price gougers on Bloodfin at Coronet.
And the "gougers" will buy them off you and sell them for max profit. People are so stupid about pricing in this game that it makes my head hurt. If the customer wants to pay millions of credits for something that only costs thousands who am I to argue. This is a game, no one will die if they can't aford a car on the first day they are available. In this game the only way you can define a fair profit is by how much people are willing to pay you. If I stuck tosome sillyX creds * resource usedpricing strategy I'd be selling my 15/32 power ups for50 credits.
I am confused. On ahazi base resources, - grind - quality, go for 3cpu. Why on earth would i sell vehicles for less than or neatthat? Especially if i am using high quality resources?
Prices need to be 5 - 10cpu. Vehicles (or any crafted items) take your time and experience to create. Please dont discount this ability to make .5 cpu profit.
