Thread: Vehicle Pricing ?
I'll be selling them for about 2CPU so as to help kill off the price gougers on Bloodfin at Coronet.

Sell the resources on the bazaar for the standard 3cpu and you've got 33% more money in your pocket with no risk of critical failures. Idiot.

if i get to master artisan by the first dayi will sell them for only 2cpu or over if they wanna pay extra or 2cpu and go sell them for even more have fun i don't care because i will have cash in my pocket
Just to strengthen this point, there's a standing offer on my server for the new spawn of neutronium steel at 6cpu. It took me all of twenty minutes to find a good vein that will pull in 17000 units per day using some BER 4 personals I made. There's almost always a resource that can be sold for this much.
It takes less work to plop down some harvesters, dump in some power and maintenance, and check on them every other day. Why in the world would I sell speeders for less than I could get mining with no risk?
I think some of you flunked Econ 101.

Did you stop and think that it may NOT be about the money? That just MAYBE they don't need the money? That just possibly they are doing this (like I am) to give something to all players that we feel everyone should have (including entertainers) and to help offset the price gougers?
Not everything in the game is about profit and not everyone is always out to make a lot on every single thing.
I agree that this is not about money... But when I see my fellow guild members barely scratching by as droid engineers and Tailors then I say to myself. Let the impatient pay 500K if they like, at least the partnership with my fellow guildies will pay off for them!
Remember this is a ONE-TIME opportunity... Then all will even out and the chance will never come again. So go ahaed charge people 500K-1mil just because they don't want to wait a few days. Then you can go out and have a little fun, start giving them away if you like. Let's just agree to sell high for those that can afford to spend a bundle and don't want to wait.
Actually, vehicles will be renewable because they can be targetted by players AND mobs and peopel on Test have already had their vehicles destroyed by some mobs. They incap the player and then go beat up on their vehicles.
Vehicles will take damage and have to be replaced as they are destroyed.

Lol! I've said it before, people will only turn around and sell your bike for a higher price.

I've seen a formula once for how much time a factory needs to crank out one unit of a combine - it seems to depend on the complexity of the combine or something like that.
Would anyone here know what that formula is?
Thanks. I'm trying to figure out how many of each vehicle to make, come patch day, and how long it would take for each run - don't want to load the factories too high up, and have to wait for ever to get the vehicles out. (But I suppose I can always open the output hopper and pull out crates as soon as they start appearing too).
(complexity / 8 ) * # of Items = Factory time in minutes

OMG there is one rebel guild on naboo that plan on seelling the vehicles on opening day at 1mil per vehicle and they say they'll get it ...
And they will get it too. This is Bloodfin where a krayt Flamethrower goes for 2.5mill and it's not the display item either. In the same vendor there is a krayt laser rifle for the same price. When I saw that yesterday I said I'm gonna be rich off of vehicles alone. I'm not setting any prices but I'll be in front of Coronet Starport telling ppl to make an offer for what I have. If I see someone selling for 1mill and people are buying I'll undercut as well. Business is business. Everyday a vehicle is sitting in your inventory it looses it's value.
"I'm trying to figure out how many of each vehicle to make"
If it helps I'm doing the resource gathering and stocking, taking orders and crafting vehicles for my guild and I currently have 5 landspeeder orders, 14 swoop orders and about 20 speeder bike orders.
Seems like alot of people want the bikes as it seems like the "safe" choice (not the worst terrain negotiation and not the worst speed) or the swoop because its the overall fastest (anyone see any time trial info on hilly terrain?).
The nice thing about the drop in resources is I finally managed to get enough resources to supply all 50ish (little over) members with there own vehicle at the 12.5-16.5k unit schematics, so now I'll have a decient number of extra resources left over for spare vehicles orgrinding professions![]()
