Thread: Survey Missions
I got no error message all -- No "You are too close etc". I still can't seem to get these to work - but the next one I get I will try going "away" from the requesting NPC to see if that helps.
It seems that some people have gotten them to work so that is encouraging.

I haven't checked i na few days are the survey missions you get in town working yet??????
Iam going to test this today. I have yet to get a survey mission but I'll see what I can find out and if I can get it to work for me.
all you have to do is survey for the type and % number of the "stuff" they want take 2 out if your lucky they are fairly close by, run away from city until you get them and return for more.
These things make phat money. Especially if you arm yourself with a weapon, then the prices go up. I can make about 20k in a 30min of work.
First - Run find a terminal close to the edge of thecity. Then run away until it says "You have left *city*."
Second - Bust a couple of your survey tools and survey for really high resources, usually 68 is the lowest i've seen it, but the norm is 70% concentration. I ususally survey for either a gas and mineral or something like that.
Third - Set that waypoint to where the concentration is, because you have to be standing on the spot of the conecentration, having it in water worn't work.
Fourth - Run back to the terminal and find two missions for that resource(s) that you know where the concentration is.
Fifth - Run back to that waypoint, survey, get $$
Sixth - Rinse, Repeat.
You can burst too for added quickness.

Yes, they are bugged and scaling off weapon skill instead of survey skill.
Need help. Pretty new player here. The Survey Missions you can get from the Artisan Mission Terminal seriously confuse me. I have tried one or two but never finish cause I do not understand what to do. Please help.

The Survey Missions used to confuse the heck out of me so I feel your pain, Ciann
So here's a little help:
First off, the "efficiency" the mission asks for is the percent of the concentration of the resource the NPC is looking for; basically, when you survey as you're running across that percentage concentration of resource, you get your mission's reward. Secondly, you need to go at least 1024 KM's away from where you received your mission in order to complete it. What I'd suggest you do is if you've been surveying a lot and know where certain amounts of (for example) Intert Petrochemicals are, take those missions, it'll make it a lot easier on you. What I generally try to do is run crafting missions in other towns and while I'm in the next town, we'll say I'm based in Moenia and am in Deeja Peak running a crafting mission, I survey for certain minerals or chemicals while I'm waiting for the shuttle home. If I find a pretty high concentration, when I return to my home city, I go to the Artisan Mission terminal and find the mission wanting those kinds of resources. I buy a new roundtrip ticket and, within minutes of landing in the next town again, I have my pay off.
I hope this helps!
