Has anyone figured out how to accomplish the survey missions from the miners in the guilds? I've accepted a couple, but they never tell me what resource they're looking for. Is it just a blind hunt for resources? I've not taken a survey mission since Launch Day +3, so things may have been corrected.

I have had that same problem too but I have completed a survey mission yesterday....

ohhh. 1 more thing!

I believe you must have a little 1 on the icon in ctrl D because if you die it goes to 0 and I am not sure if it is still valid.

I keep getting the message "Survey too close" which I assumed meant I was too close to town, so I went well outside of town (1500m or so) and still got the message. Every survey mission I've recieved gave me this message.

That kept happening on my Survey Missions as well. In fact, the only way I was ever able to avoid it was if I happened to travel to another planet and survey there. But that seemed absolutely rediculous to me, so I stopped doing those missions.

Does anyone know if the "too close" problem has been fixed yet, or what the required distance actually is?

Ditto same messege here....survey too close...this really blows considering the creator of the mission was a mysterious woman in robes who sent jedi vibes like it was christmas

The only way I know of to get rid of the too close survey message is to cancel the mission, go back and get the mission again.

This happens because you might need to survey for more than one resource. If you already get one resource located, and try to look for that same resource, you are too close. Look for another resource. Some resources have multiple kinds. Like the Ore. They have like 6 different kinds. The mission will give you one of the types, and there might be two types under that certain type. You need to collect those two.

I haven't checked i na few days are the survey missions you get in town working yet??????

I have yet been able to complete one from a guild hall, But the ones I get from NPC's outside of town have all be pretty easy to complete and oftem pay 1K-1.8K for a 20 minute mission.

I've got a mission from an NPC outside town -but don't know how to do it. He says he need Inert Gas with 53% efficiency. I survey - find a pocket of 65% and sample about 300 - mission does not complete. I then go find a 53% pocket - again survey for a few hours - again does not complete. I tried giving the NPC who started the quest the gas I mined but not good. How do you get one to work?

Probably try it in about 3 months and it should work by then.

Sarenia - When you survey, does it say "Survey too close" (or something like that, my server is down right now).

You have to walk a distance out to satisfy the requirement (maybe 500meters to 1k)

Look at the inert gasses you have mined. IE: Examine the container and see if it has any stats that say efficiency. If not try another one and see. Might help, or i might be totally off here.
