I must say I'm extreamly disappointed.I spent a lot of time preping for vehicles, reading forms gathering info and resorces. I logged in on my lunch hour and started my factories running. When I got home from work I picked up 125 vehicles and put 50 on my vendor and then when to Theed for whatI thought would be a buying frenzy. I started out at 8cpu. 94% Durability Swoop for 64k, 96% Durability Speeder for 48k and 94% Durablitity X34 for 34k. I was there for an hour and didn't sell any vehicles. So I packed up and went to check my harvesters. I received 1 tell during that time and the customer was happy with my prices, went to my vendor and purchased a speeder.

Next I went to Corellia and stood there long enough to see prices were around 6cpu or lower and even received a nasty tell saying my prices were outragous. I went back to Naboo and logged off for a couple hours pretty frustrated and feeling like I was back in 3cpu architect hell. After I calmed down a bit I logged back in and repriced all the vehicles on my vendor at 5cpu and won't go any lower. Went to Theed and managed to sell 2 swoops at the new price even though there where others there obvously selling deeds at a higher price then me.

So I gave up and logged for the night. 5 hours of game time I sold 3 deeds. Welcome to life on Corbugits.

Sold a landspeeder for 30k then I spent the rest of the night riding my swoop around Talus. Having a vehicle turns SWG into a completely different game.

RaiCella, what are you talking about? Credits are credits and resources are resources. A resource costs me .28 credits per unit to harvest. That number includes paying for my fusion generator maintenance (plus pulling them up when the fusion is gone) my harvester maintenance (same) and time is nothing with mounts and even less with vehicles so it doens't even matter anymore. My fusion and harvester deeds were paid for months ago when I started selling composite armor.

Resources have an inherent value my backside! The only inherent value is what people who are too lazy to harvest for themselves will pay, or how much the PERCEIVED value of a resource is. I have dozens of different resource types with excellent statistics simply because I harvest them exclusively. The only time I will harvest a crap resource is if it is a necessary "named" resource for an advanced schematic. No matter what the stat of the resource is, it still only cost me .28 cpu to pull from the ground.

You PERCEIVE the better stat resources to be worth more, I don't. I only know that it is in my best interest to use the best of resources so that I can give my customers the best items I can make. I don't expect repeat customers if my items suck. Your perception that a better resource is worth more just tells me that you don't harvest your own resources, but instead purchase them from someone else who PERCEIVES that a high stat resource is worth more.

Why do Armorsmiths charge so much for Composite? Not because of the stats of the resources they use, but because of the rarity. It can take a while for rare, named resources to show up. Those are worth more only because of the rarity, the difficulty in locating them. Not because of their stats. SR 1000 cost the same to harvest as SR1.

Vehicles take one lump of ANY FERROUS and one lump of ANY NON-FERROUS. To charge 25cpu for them is asinine. Especially since the hitpoints of the vehicle only matter if you never go to one of the main planets/moons. A 1k hitpoint swoop is no different than a 2.5k hitpoint swoop in all matters except time between repairs.

The only way I would ever charge more than 5cpu for a vehicle is if it involved numerous pain in the backside subcomponents, things like micro-sensor suits, or identical parts from factory crates. Then, it becomes worth more because more of my time is used, I have to figure in factory costs, ect.

These three starter vehicles should be sold for about 2 cpu, to account for the variation in resource densities while harvesting.

Oh, and please remember that even though it takes a Master to make them, its a Master of a starting profession, not an elite or hybrid. I made Master Artisan without trying and it pains me that vehicles are being sold for twice what I can get for my best droids.....

well put all those who do not mine thie own minerals percive a high quality resource to be worth more. but as an arch i mine my own minerals no matter the stats for the same money. (oh and i found a good spot i haven't moved my fusion for 15 days.)

just beofre vehicles, i payed for my harvester sjust by selling 10 lots of 1k minerals on the bazzar.

i gave a newb player 20k aluminum, and 5k copper yesterday. (i think he was in a X34, huh)

the biggest cost in my business is the travel fees, from corellia to dantooine is 2600 for a round trip.

and it was a record time today on my swoop (which i purchased for 35k) was8 minutes including travel time and waiting at ports. fusion and minerals on corellia 2 minerals, one gas (300 m apart), and a chemical on dantooine. the minerals and the chem are 2k Meters apart with the gas slightly of course in between

I built 8, 2 of each and 2 custom speederbikes which pretty much used up the limited steel I could spare. I sold the 2 custom ones. 1for 100k (in first hour) and 1 for45k late evening from unsolicited tells (but I had my MA title up). I put one of each kind on my vendor for 100k each, but nobody bit. The other three went to my posse, and I am glad to have the vendor set in case somebody wants a replacement.

Thanks to the 100k sale, I was pretty happy with the result. I haven't been paying attention to business lately, and my cashflow had been running negative. I got my second comma back, even though I spent most of my time exploring distant places that were suddenly easy to get to. Getting badges for being a tourist strikes me as strange.

There were sure a lot of abandoned vehicles littering the towns, and around the POI's. Some folks must have been desparate for cash, or engaged in wishfull thinking when starting production runs. Nice easy experience from building them though, if I ever want toput my skillpoints into yetanother elite artisan profession.

Ok hers to the guy who sold his for 4-5-6k for the little guy to have fun.

Kudos to you. I just gave one away to a nood I didnt even know. Why, because I wanted her to have fun too.

But did you sell yours to the little guy, or the holocron millionaires. I bet they took them all and sold then for 10 times that.

Finally, the real reason for undercutting prices. Sorry, thevalue of resources is NOT simply the maintenance and the power that you put on the harvestors. It is a simplistic and sophomoric viewpoint that time has no value. Not all of us can make our own heavy harvestors, we wind up paying huge amounts for them to Architects. We pay Armorsmiths for the armor we need on to help us live long enough to get away from the mobstrying to kill us. We pay for guns to Weaponsmiths, to try and shoot back as we run away from those mobs shooting at us as wesurvey. I don't particularly care that you plan to personally control the price of vehicles to pay us all back for not buying your broken droids, but you need to take a few business courses to understandthe basic economic principles you are saying don't exist.

I sold bikes at 95% durablilty for 25k, 30k and 40k. Sadly, the difference between the good ones I sold and the crap made with cardboard and tin foil is not apparent to the buyer at first. What you have managed to do, when selling junk, is tar and feather us all as junk dealers. I finally went home when people showed up to sell their 1k HAM bikes at just under my prices. Now THOSE are the people who are ripping people off.

I sold at AH for 25/35/45 with discounts for friends and guildies. made about 800k. I had hoped for higher prices, really wanted to sell for 8cru as a fair price for quality resources, but was willing to accept the 5.5cru I was getting. If it had gone lower I would have started selling the resources. Actually did sell some for 10cru to one guy. He wasn't making any money buying resources at that level. I also purposely blocked a couple of people trying to sell at 150k for swoops. Sorry, but that is taking advantage of people, and I didn't want the CH backlash.

The sad part was that I was the only one there who could even answer anyones questions about the vehicles.

Prediction - vehicles atabilize at 5-6cru or resources go up to 5-6 cru by February.
