Thread: what did you sell vehicles for on YOUR server opening day?
The prices on Wanderhome are a total joke....there at 2-3cpu. Kind of like a few of you I made some 90%+ vehicles but since people do not understand quality differences I decided to just hold on to them. I didnt even try to sell any. I gave a bunch away to my guildmates and friends. LOL I even gave a speeder to a brand new player to the game..It was his first night...
If SOE would actually listen to its customers, this should of NEVER been put into a starter profession. Vehicles are the coolest thing that have come out. But with the parking lots of vehicles and no real HAM effectiveness, this isjust another blunder from SOE. The fact is, itwas a known and confirmed bug about the vehicles not storing and SOE stillthey chose to release it anyways.

I sold mine for 4K/5K/6K. Just because i want the little guys to have fun. And by little guys, i mean people like me who have, on average, 1-2K credits to their name.
So I am curious. Why do you have 1-2kc to your name? Even before the recent patch I can make that doing delivery or crafting missions in like 10 min. I started a new char on TC recently to learn about what the bikes could do. I made 10kc in 2 hrs of testing the bikes and missions. If I had done just the missions it could have been higher.
What I found that is useful is confirming the listed speeds of the vehicles and more important I can as a brand new char (less than 12 hrs of play time) go to a dangerous world like Dantooine and take hi value delivery missions and fly thru the angry mobs without worry of being killed. (This will probably change). I found that I could annoy and insult the stupid red NPC's out of Coronet and laugh at their puny attempts to kill me. I have hundreds of stills of them shooting at me as I dodge and swoop over/around them for what felt like hours (was 15-20min) without the bike I would have to either run away or die.
I found that special shots (force to kneeling or force to prone) will knock me off the bike or out of the x34. I learned that crazed duri can knock me OUT of an x34 then (5 of them) incap me and then wait around for me to get up and incap me again till I die. I learned that I can pull one far enough from his friends that with a team I could smash his hide
All the above and I still have 8k+ credits. Perhaps you are right and I need to find the fountain of smart and get some for a LOT of folk. Maybe even I would benefit from a sip.

OK: Just an hour after luanch I put on my vendor 4 vehicles of ecah type at 5cpu (that is 40k/30k/21500). I didnt went to the main cities, just registered my vendor on the planetary map and changes the name of my store to say "Vehicles available". I sold out. Thats 350k, more money I ever had, so Im really happy ![]()
Yesterday I restocked my vendor, 3 of ecaht type this time, increasing a bit the price of those with more than 70% durability... Lets see what happens...

Welp, I started the day by first loading my vendors with 4 x34, 4 speederbikes, & 4 swooperbikes. They grabbed my trusty droid "WDForty" and headed to the major hubs of Theed and then to Cornet City. I started selling abit higher in Theed, made only a few sales there, then moved to Cornet CIty and starting selling at about 4.5cpu.. ie x34 landspeeders for 20k, speederbikes for 27k, & swooperbikes for 37k. even tho there wher several others selling much lower I still made good profit and I continually shouted the location to the nearby garage. Good Customer Service + A good high quality product (90%+) + Decient Markup (4.5~ cpu) = I made just under 2 million credits in 5 hours.. It would have been more but a family emergency took presidence.. [ Father-inlaw died from Cancer/Allzhemisers

My story:
I sold ZERO!! I tried selling at 40k, didnt happen. I tried at 20k...no takers. I had the highest offer of the day at 5k. I wasn't spamming that I was selling vehicles, just thought the Master Artisan tag would get me some business. After that I said 5k?, just take it FREE, its wasting space in my inventory. I gave 3 away to total newbs in Mos Entha. I wasn't planning on being a dabbler, I didn't get a holo that said Master Artisan, I figured I would go MA and supply my PA with them and maybe sell a few to cover my expense. How is it people will buy weapons at 40-50k but get offended that I wanted to sell speeders at that price? I was actually going to stay a MA for a while and try some new things out, but now I figure why? Might as well just set the harvs down and sell the resources from them, dont need MA for that.
Then I think...Maybe I'm just not a good salesperson....![]()
play on corbantis and for the most part stuck to 5 cpu per resource making my prices as follows:
landspeeder: 20k
speeder bike: 30k
swoop:40k
made 2.5 million in about four or five hours and then put 90 more vehicles up on vendors as i got sick of the lag in theed and quite frankly sick of getting ten tells a second asking questions about the vehicles that i couldnt answer. as far as waiting for people to run out of resources, i wouldnt hold my breath on that as there are those of us who still have millions of resources in stock. i loaded up while making my way to droid engineer and with the state of the droid proffession havent really needed to use many resources lol.
They went for 20/30/35k on Tarquinas by the time I was able to log on at about 5pm central. Nothing compared to the mount's first day, and they are a lot faster. I wasn't prepared but on mount day I had a grown kaduu I got 35k for and a female brackaset went for 100k.
Very reasonable pricing I thought, I mean 3 easy Sharnaff missions on Corellia and that's over 30k, and if you go for the dath missions, its over 60k with 3 missions.

Mine are selling from my vendors at 50/60/75.
I've sold a good 2 dozen so far...only 4 face-to-facewhile trapped on Talus due to a patch-day travel bug on Sunrunner.
So far, pretty evenly split between swoops and bikes. I think I've only sold 3 landspeeders so far.
When I was finally able to get to Coronet, I saw the undercutting going on and decided just to leave 'em on the vendor. I'm in no rush to sell 'em and they're moving faster than my droids do. ![]()
I've sold almost 2 dozen at 50/60/75. All but 4 through my vendors tho'... I sold those 4 at the Imp Outpost on Talus while folks were waiting for the travel-terminal to be fixed (mighta been a Sunrunner-only glitch).
When I was finally able to get to a big city, I was a little shocked at how many artisans were hawking 'em and how low they had driven each other. I saw people shouting 'em for <20k, and when they had gone as low as they felt they could, they started getting nasty with each other. So I decided to just leave 'em on my vendor. They're moving faster than probots and I'm in no big hurry.
Honestly... people forget this is a game. It's not likewe have in-game kids to feed... and, no, harvesters don't count. ![]()
