Thread: Topic for the day 8-5-03 BUGS read if you are having a problem or to add a bug report
I know that it isn't a bug, but it sure seems like it.
Every time I put down a harvester of some variety, less than 12 hours later there is a resource shift that makes the harvester useless.
Since I go to sleep after logging off SWG, and go to work in the morning, that means that by the time I can get back on to fix what my harvester is targetting, 12-16 hours have passed of the harvester eating maintenance for no good reason.
It would be nice if there was just a gradual drop off in concentration, so that if you're paying attention you can notice that you don't need to put another three days of power in the machine, or even a lovely 'have my harvester email me when resouce concentration falls below some percentage I choose.
At this point, the only way I can see to succeed at harvesting at all is to use 10 identical harvesters, and essentially stripmine one area until they run out of resources to mine or energy to run on

Not sure if it's a bug or not, but I got a survey mission for a resource type that doesn't exist on the planet. I'm on Corellia in Bria. The rebel tech asked me to find 64% concentration of extrusive ore, and category doesn't even show up on my mineral survey device.
I don't think that is a bug, I think it is a challenge.

Just try to kill everything you see, and soon you will find the high end kills. There is however some major risk in taking on thoes high end kills. I have visited more cloning stations than I care to.
As for buggs (Or Features) The inability to get Power or money out of a harvester once you put it in, is really anoying!!!

In terms of actual BUGS, I'm playing right now on Tempest, running around frantically trying to successfully sample a certain resource. I have Surveying IV, and a 25% density site (the highest I can find of this resource) but it says the sample size is too small. This isn't the resource turnover bug, because I can sample other, higher density resources, and only five minutes ago I sampled another resource at 10% (like I should be able to at Survey IV).
This sure sounds like the known bug that occurs after resources shift. Is that one resource new, and the others aren't? It usually takes a day before you can actually manually sample them.
I know that I can move my harvesters... the problem is I don't like losing all of the energy i've fed into it because everything useful has been moved elsewhere.
also, paying 3k to move a wind harvester when it has only been in use for 2 days is really exasperating.
Ok how about the harvestors run out of energy, you go to put in energy. Start the harvestor, come back a day alater and it turned itself off.
AND PLEASE FIND ME SOME DOLOVITE IRON!! I have spent close to 20K going from planet to planet to find it and have nto seen it yet.
New to the game, but unfortunately I have a list just from last night...Most of these seem to be reported above but I am going to list em still in case they are related to other problems I had in the course of the eve.
1) First I made myself a new set of survey tools, assuming they would be better than the free ones, and just to get some skill practice. I list my inventory by the "spreadsheet" style view. When I try to grab a piece of gear to put in my quickbar, it was constantly picking up an item different than what I was clicking on. I could get the proper radial menu on the item, but if I dragged it became an items several lines removed from it's place. IE- I was picking up my Gen. Craft tool, and it would turn into Iron container soon as I picked it up. I finally got it to work by relogging and staying in the normal "icon" inventory mode.
2) Next, I was surveying along chasing the highest concentration, Found a descent 65% deposit, opened my Data Pad to rename it for sampling later on, The data pad would let me go through the motions of renaming. But the name would not stick. So I made a new manual waypoint with the /waypoint command and went to rename it...same thing. Then a friend of mine logged in, told me their waypoint. I entered /waypoint xxxx yyyy and the data pad failed to pick it up. I also could not delete any waypoints.
3) Soooo, I relogged again. when I got back in all my newly crafted tools were gone....#$^@! And the Dp waypoints were still hosed.
4) So I used the cords on my radar to navigate to my friend manually, got there and made her a set of tools, she made me a set (so we could get use xp from each other) No real problems this time other than the First bug I listed with my inventory..guess the list mode is just hosed...During this I was sampling as low as 15% concentrations to get the 1-2 components I was short without running around. slow but got em fine.
5) After this my Waypoints started working again for some reason, I was able to delete the 10 I tried to make earlier, and rename the ones I wanted too.
6) I had a treasure map from yesterday that was in the area so I activated the waypoint in my Dp, (that I put in there using the load waypoint button on the treasure map) went to it, Opened my radial menu on the treasure map and selected the Search area option...it said I had to load the waypoint first..Okkk, I figured my waypoint was hosed from the previous glitch so I deleted it and remade it (with the provided button) again. I now had a fresh waypoint, and was still standing in it, tried search again and got the same, load the waypoint first error.---gave up on this for the night.
5) 6 hours later this morning: moved on with my new tools, found a nice 78% Alum deposit, tried to sample..."concentration too low to obtain a sample.." ..... poo.
So I finally decided to go kill some innocent wildlife. I had the urge ya know ![]()
So some of this I am sure is bugs..any of this my newbish mistakes?
BTW this is my 2nd day in SW:g. Course i been reading everything i could get my hands on for months.

"Ya I can do that."
It's been 2 weeks since I tried this but:
The Bazaar eats your extra money for a premium auction and there's nothing premium about it. I see nothing different about my listing except it's around 2 pages into the piles of other stuff.
Here is the most pressing issues(bugs) with the Artisan class.(IMHO)
1. Factories do not work right.
- Power ups give no stats. Regardless of schematics used.
- Food gives 1 use. Regardless of the schematic used.
- Shared Factories are only fully accessable by the owner. A friend and I set up a factory to share, I can access the schematic, fee & power but am unable to access the input or output hoppers. This is true for a food and equipment factory.
To stay on topic I wont address the other issues with this wonderful profession.

I posted before I read this thread. Sorry. Its about thepersonal crafting stations. I can't get the input hopper to open. Anyone else able to use this? Bugged?
Bone Armor Segments:
I get one experiment ponit. I get 10 pts on all other tiems. I get an insane risk rate like 62% if I even try to experiement. These have to be bugged badly.
