Thread: Topic for the day 8-5-03 BUGS read if you are having a problem or to add a bug report
Apologies if this has been mentioned already:
Personal Harvesters give General Structure XP instead of General Crafting XP. These are the only Artisan-craftable items (to the best of my knowledge) that do not give GC XP. CDEF Weapons give GC XP, not WC XP. Bone Armor gives GC XP, not AC XP. Etc. Etc. That'swhy I think this is a bug.
I've noticed two things:
1. I'm sitting on a 92% resource of polymer and getting "resource density too low to sample here" I'm a surveyor IV. Is this a bug or am I just missing something?
2. I ended up at the very edge of the planet and my resources kept finding a higher density off the area I could travel too. While not necessarily a bug it was making it annoying to find a higher density elsewhere.

i loaded up my havesters (2 personal) and my 1 wind gen enough for 3 days. came back and they have disspaeared. this was 2 weekends ago it happened. tickethas still not been looked at. they way points are there, but they have vanished.
i bought 2 new Harvs and 1 new wind gen and everything thing has been good for this week. untill the next patch i guess...
I made some power-up schematics. Since nothing about it can be seen from the schematic, I was making 1 of each in my factory to see what they were before going into full production. This is because they have random properties when you make them. Can't just make a +30% speed decrease coupler. Anyways, the crates coming out of the hopper are bugged as usual. I get around that and eventually get the one item out and 'lo and behold; IT HAS NO PROPERTIES. Well, it had Volume, Obj creator, S/N, and 'A ranged power-up'. That's it. Doesn't say what type it is.
Ok, so I write down the properties of a weapon and place one of these 'blank' powerups on it. I close the examine window and re-examine the weapon. The only thing that changed was that it got 100 uses.
This is part of the inv bug where the game can't add the number of items in your inv correctly. In other words, the total at the bottom isn't what it's looking at. Containers screw inv's real bad sometimes. Run it to max at 35/60 or 76/60. I've never lost anything yet, but that doesn't mean I like it.
To remove jammed proto's from a tool, #1 use the radial menu on the tool, #2 run the cursor over START CRAFTING ( But don't click it ), #3 A sub-menu pops up like the bank safty dep box for, #4 Get object out of hopper.
This might be the 'fail to start crafting session' bug, but I've got 2 clothing tools that are unusable right now because they're stuck 'making' an item. The timer is frozen at 33 and 18 respectively. This happened last patch day when they kept bringing the servers down. I wasn't crafting at the time I logged out, and I had used the /logout command. There have been several server resets since and the crafting tools still haven't fixed themselves.
They get 'stuck' also if you zone via shuttle while the timer is still in effect, but the last time that happened to me the tools returned to normal after the server reset.

getting the failed to start crafting session message
I have encountered this, at least I think I have. In my experience it happens if I'm trying to start crafting and accidentally mash multiple crafting-tool-buttons on my Toolbar at the top. After that, I get the failed to start message. But all it takes is a /stopCraftingSession to fix, so maybe I don't have the same issue...
Either that or get into combat, because combat stops my crafting sessions all by itself.
I am not an Artisan I am just a lowly Combat Medic
But I have a problem with my factory not taking items out of factory crates. It only does it some of the time. It's kind of a pain to have to insert each item into the factory. Plus it only holds a 100 item so if I need 3items to make one I can only get about 32 per run.I am hoping they fix that.

Greetings,
I'm a doc\weaponsmith on Bloodfin and everytime I use a personal crafting station my keymap goes wacky. By wacky I mean I always walk (and shift, shift does not fix it), none of the CTRL+ commands work, and none of the F# keys work. The only way to fix this is to go to the keymap options and reset the defaults. I have to do this EVERY time after crafting. I have reported it as a bug many times (before and after the ticketing limitations)...but getting no response from the CSRs. I have to say that this is driving me nuts.
This isn't probably a bug as much as a "wouldn't it be nice" feaure request, and likely it has been discussed to death already, bust just in case: right now the surveying % density window only updates if it is open when you survey. I really would like to keep it closed, survey and play follow the waypoint a few times, and then open the survey tool window again and see how close Iam to that 97% sweet spot.
But the waypoint bug is definitely more important than that.
