I think you guys make these, if not point me in the right direction. Do these things even exist? I have yet to see one. I have searched the bazaar and vendors. Are they lited somewhere under the bazaar that im not seeing?

They can be found on the bazaar under Misc...

It's possible artisans on your server haven't yet gotten their space mining going and as a result have not been able to acquire the space resources required to build the kits.

If you do find them you'll likely be paying more than 150k for one.

OKAY who was the brainiac that came up with the Vehicle Restoration Kit idea. He needs to be turned into an NPC and allow us to shoot him over and over again.

When I purchased ROTW, as a gift, I was given a BARC speeder. Now I feel, in essence they are taking it away from me because it is too expensive and sometimes impossible to repair.

At this time there are no kits on the Vendors. If you are lucky to find one on the vendors, they are minimum 175K - 400K. The resources needed to make them are not available on the vendors. They are a space resource so someone has to be a master pilot to use a mining ship. Mining takes forever just to get enough to make one kit.

Solution: 1. Undo this very stupid idea. 2. If option 1 will not happen, Change the resources to more obtainable ones.

If this situation does not fix itself, people will be on foot walking, will be broke, will not be enjoying the SWG experience, and will leave the game.

I have been playing for about 3 months now. In that time I have been through a few publish updates. The rules of the game keep changing and it is pissing people off. I ask this question, are the powers that be trying to run us all off? Do they not want people paying money to play their game? If it isn't broke, don't fix it. And stop changing the rules of the game.

OK I will now get down off my soap box.

I have to agree with you on this. The restoration kits are obsurd. For the price of the kit, you can buy yourself a couple of bikes. Some times the devs dont think things through to good. I agree change the resource to another resource to make it more affordable. DEV'S WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING? LOL

You always have the option of purchasing a (very replacable and inexpensive) swoop. I applaud the decsion to expand the usefulness of the kit to repair AV's and Jet Packs. And theySHOULD be expensive, the vehicles they repair are rare. It cost a lot more to fix your Ferrari than your Chevy so it should cost considerably more to repair your BARC than your swoop.

You don't want to be buying VRK's? Don't drive your rare vehicle around dath.

It's just that easy.

if you harvest the asteroid resources (750 carbonacious, 750 petro chem) most artisans will make you one for free. and the effort required to get the resources is why they cost so much.

In Publish 24, Asteroid resouces will become more readily available. Space miners will get more units per asteroid chunk, so just hold out a little longer.

I think the main beef with the kits is that I think people were hoping to having something they can use on their disabled vehicles when they're in the middle of dath or endor and would be able to get out quick instead of having to walk or burstrun all the way. I think people were expecting a cheap product to make their life easier.

If you are able to space mine you can probably work a deal with a master artisan to make them for you.

They take 750 carbonaceous asteroid and 750 petrochemical asteroid so the resource cost is very high and hard to find.

How would a noob with barely the money to buy a swoop, that just so happened to unwittingly go to Dath. and get his bike blow to crap afford to get another bike? Running (literaly, lol) Artisan missions? Lol. They should have made the kits specific to be the only means of repairing the Rare Vehicles (Barc, AVs, jetpacks) but should allow the simple bikes such as swoops, landspeeders, ect to be repaired at the garages for a fee. My barc isnt even worth keeping. Its a better investment for me to buy a crate of swoops then to repair the barc of being disabled.

You do not need to be a master to mine in space.

I guess the answer to your first question is "the learning curve". He doesn't get another bike, he gets a land speeder for 5-6K, easy money from artisan/survey missions, AND he learns a very, veryvaluable lesson about venturing blindly about. Really.

Your second arguement that disabled swoops be fixed for a fee at a garage smells the same as those who don't want thier weapons/armor/clothes to ever decay. You seem to discredit the crafting aspect of this game. What makes this game so special and why many of us (please note that I did not say all) continue to play despite the CU and bugs, is the virtual economy. THAT is the immersion for us.
