Where are the survey missions found, i.e a mission terminal or NPC?

Survey missions are given by large, aggressive creatures like the Kryat Dragon. Approach slowly and carefully, and ask the creature if it needs anything. Avoid eye contact; they don't like that. If you are polite and respectful, the creature may send you on a mission to find some liquid petrochemical for a cocktail, or ask you to craft an extremely large steel toothpick.

Or if you're chicken, you can ask the miner in the crafter's guild for a mission instead, or approach random NPCs outside of city limits. Bawk! Bawk! Bawk!

Survey missions can be taken from the NPC in the Crafter's guild. Usually to the left of the trainer in the center room...

To my knowledge, survey missions still haven't been incorporated. The basic frame for them has been there since Beta, but I have never been able to get them to work. I'd imagine the devs will get them working eventually.

I've done over a dozen survey missions successfully since release.

The efficiency has nothing to do with the material itself, but the concentration of it you've found with your survey tool. If it says efficiency 65%, then you need to survey around until you find the material at a concentration of 65% or higher. The second a waypoint to the resource appears in your datapad, you get the credits.

Note, as I said in another thread, if you die between getting the mission and fulfilling it, you'll still have the mission but can no longer fulfill it and need to abort it.

I dont know if this will help or not, but I have been taking survey missions from Master Theifs and Rebel Missions. I have been able to complete every one of those in 30 mins or less often paying 1000+ credits..

I an unable to comeplete missions I get from the guild hall. also, the waypoint on my planetary map is always in the same place for every guild mission. I covered the entire planet of Rori today for a survey mission and still got the survey to close message.

My advice is to look for alternative mission sources. Thieves camps have been quite lucrative.

Ok, I'm really stupid sometimes. Can someone please explain how to complete survey missions for me? At first I thought the number under the type of material you needed was a certain amount you needed. I have a pack filled with various such stuff so I'll split to to the number and then try and give them to the person (dragging the item to the main screen over the NPC untill it turns into a hand) or try and talk to them and nothing. Then I thought that maybe I just have to survey for the resource and say the exception number was 58 I'd have to find 58% or better. Well I go ahead and take another, the number was 63 and I find a high 60 to low 70 dosage in teh area but still nothing.

So can someone please explain how to complete these missions? THanks

Survey missions dont work. Plain and simple. It is hit and miss as to whether you actually can complete one or not. I ahve tried several and gave up to do other missions for money as i was wasting tons of time. If you do a search on survey missions here you should turn up a ton of info.

Until they actually do something to make them work correctly they are not worth trying.
