A: To make a crate of items you need a factory. First create the item you want to make a crate of, but don't make a prototype! Make a factory schematic instead. Ensure that you have plenty of the EXACT resources used to make the schematic. Place the schematic and resources in the factory and start it working. You cannot change the number of items in a factory crate.
Architects can make bothSolar Power Generators and Fusion Generators.
Hat.
A: You should get a character with significant crafting skill to repair your weapons & armor. A master weaponsmith or a master armorsmith or AT LEAST someone with engineering 4 or weapon/armor technique 4.
Repair tool ratings go all the way up to 98 or 99. If it's an expensive gun use an HIGH rated tool and get a master to repair it.
You could try repairing your weapons and armor next to a crafting station of the appropriate type. When I do that I seem to get "minor blemishes" more often than not.
I have done a lot of searching but haven't found a concise location of how to use harvesters.
Q: How do you redeed a harvester?
A: ?
Q: How do I find good resources on my server?
A: ? (I know someone has got to have a database somewhere on the web)
Actually I have a ton of other harvester / power questions I could list here, but I have found most the answers by searching either this forum or the arch's forum.
Q- Why can't I change the resource that the harvester is collecting?
A-You'll need to get off your mount to do that. Use the /dismount command.
Q- Why is my harvester using so much power?
A- Currently harvesters have a nasty habit of incorrectly reporting the power remaining in them. As a workaround, you can turn off the harvester then turn it back on, and the power will be reported correctly (until the next day's patch).
Q- Why can't I get my powerups to be +33% damage? The best I can get is like 25%.
A- You need to use high OQ mineral AND chemical resources to get good powerups. If you use materials that are 990+ OQ, you can get the +33% max damage, +16% min damage powerups that seem to be the most popular powerup. Make muzzles and be prepared to spend hours gettingone to maximum stats. Also, you will need 10 experimentation points to achieve this, which means you must have both Engineering 4 and Domestic Arts 4. Be sure you're standing next to a weapon, droid, and general crafting station when you start.
Q- Why don't people buy my stuff?
A- Unless your products are GROSSLY overpriced, odds are it's just a name recognition thing. Get merchant skill and go up to Advertising 3, so you can put your vendor on the map. When you create your vendors, give them distinctive names. For example, "Awesome Powerups and Repair Kits" tells people what they can expect to find on your vendor, whereas "Jimmy's Stuff for Sale" just leaves them guessing. Announce the opening of your store on the forums here. Make a powerup and name it "Great Powerups at /waypoint 1000 2000" and put it on the bazaar on a 7-day auction. Stand at the starport and hawk your wares, but do it with class... say something every 3-4 minutes, not 5 times a second. If you have crates of electronic parts, search for architects and droid engineers and tell them about your products.
Needmore Minerals aka Leezord Leeps... selling resources since 2003
Draft schematics are the basic pattern of the item. You cannot create new ones and for the most part the only way to get new draft schematics is by getting another skill box.
Manufacturing schematics are a more specific patterns. You create these by starting a prototype, experimenting, and selecting manufacturing schematic instead of prototype (as shown here). They have the resources required and the attributes that using that schematic will result in. These schematics are only usable in a factory.

Q: What does mechanism rating mean for crafting stations, and is there a correlation with the rating on architect made crafting stations? If so, could you give us a hint on how it correlates?
A: In short, this gives you a better chance to resist critical failures. It works like Quality Modifiers on Crafting tools.
There you have it... a huge question just answered by TH.

Q: Can you confirm the rumors that the vehicles will part of the DE profession or an "elite-elite" of the DE proffesion?
A: I have to deny this. Sorry. I know you (Droid Engineers) want to be a part of the vehicle crafting, but there are different plans for vehicle development. Its too early to talk about the details about vehicles and their future, but the goodies you folks are going to get will be discussed in questions further down…
Same thread... another huge answer. Sorry DE's it sounds like vehicles will be a NEW CLASS!
Q: Why are Droid Engineers dependant on Master Artisan components directly or indirectly (subcomponents of components) for at least 41 of the items in the Droid Engineering lines, but no other crafting profession even begins to approach this level of dependency?
A: (The Developers) agree. In the not too distant future, either all dependencies are going up or your dependencies are going down. Its way too early to talk about which way that’s going to go at this point in time…
Yet another good Artisan Q & A, same thread.
