Vaedross. It isn't illegal to macro, it is illegal to use external programs to macro.

I have the ability to make a sample macro infinate.

/sample;

/pause 4;

/sit;

/pause 28;

/stand;

/ui action toolbarSlotXX; (replace XX with 00 to 11 with 00 = F1 and 11 = F12)

you make this ingame macro under the macro tab (CTRL A)and wala you can macro.

I think I've posted this before. It is not illegal to macro ingame or else we would not be given these commands in the first place. You can do this for most professions. I might receive some heat for this but that doesn't matter to me. Truths are far more important than rumors and lies and when it comes to macroing you can do so ingame with ingame options.

THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS THOUGH. I don't move while doing this macro because there are no movement commands. Just sitting, standing, and kneeling. Ingame you do scoot arround for doing this. Also characters with less stamina and quickness need to increase the second pause up to 32 or even 36 to do this forever. There is no way to "macro" putting a resource into a schematic. There is no command text for it or nobody has discovered it yet. There is a post somewhere about the text commands out there. I'm unfortunatly not looking this up and linking it here as I don't intend to post weblinks for this board untill I hear they have been fixed.

Enjoy.

I would like to bring up a small thing if I may??

I have only been playing on FarStar (Euro Server) for the past 5 days but there is something I have noticed.

In my efforts to make some cash, seeing as some people are higher professioned than me and can sell better items, I have been doing a lot of Crafting missions....now...these are WAY too easy todo.

I pick up the mission from the terminal, go to some NPC not far from the terminal, put 3 components which they GIVE me together and then get a shuttle to Dearis/Nahsal. If I get a surveying mission at the same time, I manage on most occasions to make 1500+ credits from 1 run (given that each mission is ~800-900 creditsminus200 for travel) but as easy as it is, I just don't find the missions enjoyable. I would rather be told, "yes the item needs a, b and c", but I would then prefer to be told that a,b and c requires this, this and this (if you catch my drift?). That way, not only would I get crafting experience, I would get surverying experience....something which I find equally as hard to get as all the good minerals seem to be in the middle of patches of **edit** great creatures!

Note to devs: I had the *sweetest* spot for a gas resource yesterday before you shifted the resources.....one day I shall find you with my lightsaber and have my retribution

Q: Can someone explain the limitations on Experimentation? I'm at Engineering II, but for some reason I can't experiment at all. Or I can't figure out how to do it. Help!

A: To access the Experiementation step you need to be using a specialist crafting tool, and standing in front of it's matching Public or Private Crafting Station. Don't use the red and white newbie crafting tool.

e.g. Use a Structure and Furniture Tool, stood in front of a Structure and Furniture Station, (either in towns, or purchasable and place in your house.)

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but how do you find the number of the draft schematic?

you can only gain draft schematics when you get the approriate skill in you tree, for instance when you get engeneering III you get the schematics to build 3 types of simple harvestor. if you click on the skills some of them tell you what skills you get (if they are blank you get no extra schematics).

Hat,

You have to guess, or test it out, because the same schematic will have a different # for different crafting tools, ie #35 on generic toolsmight be #10 on clothing and armor tools

ArtyD,

My bad, I misread your post. There is no command for selecting RESOURCES to craft with. Sorry

if this macro is F1, then the loop command is /ui action toolbarSlot 00

also, capital letters DO make a difference

Q. I've lost the waypoint for one of my harvesters - how can I find it?

A. If you know what resource it was harvesting and what general area it was in then you can try to survey in that area for that resource and see if you can find it that way. Failing that once the harvester has run out of maintenance credit it will start to decay. Once it hits a certain level (50%?) you will get an e-mail to warn you and it will include the co-ords of the harvester.

Q. My harvester ran out of maintenance and took damage. How do I fix the damage?

A. Simply putting more maintenance cash in will allow it to repair.

(at least that's what I read in another post here).

Info here is very good guys, thanks for posting all the useful stuff. Might need to add some more to the FAQ though to tidy up.
