Thread: BARC speeder
What i ment was, that all that is known thus far about the speeder is how to get it. That is what they are keeping us in the dark about. If it turns out that the speeder is nothing special, then people are going to want to digital download and not the three in one pack, but if the speeder is not just any other speeder that has been re-skinned then people are going to want to get the three in one pack and not the digital download. It is a simple fact that most people in the game are not going to get both the digital download and the three in one pack, so people such as myself are going to want to know all the same info as what jahlad was looking for.

With the Digital Download (only available to exisitng Station members), you get:
The Varactyl, the lizard mount used by Obi Wan Kenobi in the upcoming EP3 film...........fastest mount in SWG, supposedly even faster than an AV-21, and I believe you can fight while mounted on it.
With the Retail Pack you get the BARC speeder. Basically a re-skinned regular ol' speeder bike. Even in the movie teasers, the BARC is an old, outdated piece of machinery, and was discontinued in use after the EP3 timeline.
How they do that, is that those that qualify to get the BARC speeders, is that the CD-KEY's will be unique from those other accounts that do not qualify to have it registered to your accounts.
So, only those that have it registered, can get them, and even if someone got the speeder from a trade , that person that got it from a trade will not be able to get a new one, if it got destroyed, because that person's account isn't registered with the unique CD-KEY. Will have to try getting another BARC from a trade again.

Actualy kinda looking forard to the lizard at least you can shoot back from it, an maybe it will have some attacks too.

It is a reward that comes with the retail version of ROTW that comes in the three-pack Total Experience.

I think the retail box gets the three extra ship slots now too.

you can no longer attack from mounts. since you can't do specials mounted, and everything is a special..... but they do still slow for combat....

A Master Artisan can craft a repair tool for when it gets destroyed,
I was looking for info on what it takes to make them, but my guess is that it will be much like a new speeder.

Asteroid stuff is needed to make the repair kits, so you need to do the Kasshyk Mining Quest or know someone that is a Asteroid miner...
