Ok Kierstad, we get it already. You are the god of all things /ui. Congratulations. I'm sorry for the flame, but EVERY time someone posts a custom macro using "your" /ui command youapparently feel the need to chime in & post a link to your thread. Yes the information is helpful. Yes I do use it. And yes I am thankfulthat you shared this information with us all, butI must ask that you get over yourself & move on.

Did you perhaps get some of your information from my original thread on using /ui action commands? *sigh*

I can not get my sample macro to work right. Sometimes my character stands up right after starting but usually it stands up, sits down to recover then I see, the messages telling me that I sit, then stand then sit.

I am unable toget it to loop back properly. Here is the macro as I listed it:

/sample

/pause 500

/stand

/sit

/pause 190

/stand

/ui action toolbarSlot12

Any ideas?

ACTUALLY Kierstad, when your an architect that end up going out of town for 4 days only to find all of your harvestors dead, and you need to make 11 more medium harvestors but only have 236 Aluminum left ( I HATE Generator Turbines ), its rather amazing what you can discover when running though letter combinations of command switches while sampling your bored brains out.

If you where the very first person to discover these command lines, I commend, no, I GIVE YOU A STANDING OVATION! Huray for you! Yet you should not think for one second your the only intelligent person ( or hell even bored ) out there. If you didnt discover them, someone else would have ( me for example, or Bob, maybe Jane, she has always been a smart girl that Jane ).

Do you deserve credit? Perhaps, but not from me. Are you asking me for credit in your post, however short it was? Looks that way to me. Are you going to get any credit for a guide I WROTE from me? Hmmmm, please see the above paragraph laced with harmless and in good taste sarcasim for your answer.

Chaos try putting a /pause 15 after stand, there is a bug where you are running for a few sec's when you stand.

UPDATE ( solution to the /pause command not working ) :

Well it seems alot of people have been running into problems getting thier /pause commands to work, and the advice I gave on my guide that says sometimes it can be a 2x variable no longer rings true, as I discovered this myself as my own /pause sample commands stopped giving me the correct times as well!

For some reason it would appear as though randomlly, a new variable for the actual time needed for your /pause is given on a per character bases ( Laymens terms : It changes and is different for each character ). However, being the nice guy I am ( oh forget that, I needed to fix it for ME! lol ), I found a means to not only make it easier to find your new multiply variable, but to also INCREASE the performace and ease in witch you sample. Please read the following steps below :

Step One :

Please write the following Macro up :

/sample

/pause 6 ( this number can be changed later but actually no matter your variable its a comfortable number )

/stand

/sit

/pause 25 ( this is the LEAST amount of time allowed now by SOE in game between samples )

/stand

/ui action toolbarSlot[xx] ( where [xx] is the number of the slot your going to put this in. )

Please have an empty slot on your toolbar ready, and a stopwatch.

Step Two :

Begin the macro. As soon as your character SITS for the first time, begin your stopwatch. As soon as you hear the sound of the toolbar slot being activated, stop it ( exact timing is not exactlly needed, but running through it more then once for optimal timing is best ).

Chances are pretty good with the way /pause timing as been latelly, that your actually pause was NOT 25 seconds. DECREASE OR INCREASE AS NEEDED!

something new to add. In order for me to get prime on for exactlly 25 seconds, I discovered DECIMAL POINTS can and in most cases MUST be used when figuring your variable. In the end, in order to get my character to sit for 25 seconds, I had to use this new macro :

/sample

/pause 6

/stand

/sit

/pause 52.3

/stand

/ui action toolbarSlot00

As you can see, my character now has a new muliplier of ROUGHLY 2.092 ( you can find this number by taking your new pause time and dividing it by 25 [ the amount you actually want ] )

So if your character could normally sample for 14 and 38 seconds before needing to rest, and you had the same muliplier as the one I have ( doubtfull ), then the new /pause command in your macro line would be /pause 1836.8

Dark how did you get 1836.8? MATH

14 minutes times 60 ( seconds in a minute ) = 840

840 + 38 ( the rest of your seconds ) = 878

878 times 2.092 ( your new multiplier ) = 1836.776

I saw no difference in multible places after your decimal point, but rounding up seemed to get me almost EXACTLLY dead on. So 1836.776 becomes 1836.8

As stated above, the even BETTER new to this discovery was the simple fact that with 550 quickness, and the new SMALL macro writen above, I NEVER had to put in a /pause time for the character to sit and regen, in the 25 seconds the character was sitting inbetween samples, it was enough for my action bar to completlly fill back up from the sample before it!

Can you say infinite NON-STOP sample macro?!

I knew you could!

So there you have it, I think a fix to all the problems people have been having with thier /pause times not being correct. As stated above, if suddenlly the one you make now stops working, your character may have had a new pause multiplier assigned to it randomlly, and you just need to time that 25 second /sit again.

LOL SOE is trying to make our lives rough I guess. /shrug

Hope this helps.

Content was great. Thank you.

But your definition of "mild profanity" and mine obviously differ a great deal. It was just not expletives, it was pretty graphic in some places. Not that I care personally, but your warning is severely understated and misleading.

JarJar there is only one way I could think to make the game automaticlly make stimpacks for you, and thats to use an external program that records mouse movements ( in your case the movements needed to craft the item ) and then plays them back over and over again.

However I can think of 3 reasons why you dont want to do this :

One = Using an external program is against the EULA as set for by SOE everytime you start the game. Doing so could put your account at risk of being banned.

Two = When using such a program it will take full control over your mouse, so if you had thge intent on playing the game at the same time you where using it to craft, your life would in essence, SUCK lol ( you get what I mean, no mouse = no game )

Three = Even if you decide you want to have it auto - craft for you while you say go to bed, in say practice mode, and record yourself making something once, SWG has a very nice feature ( BAH ) that in this case would make your life a living hell, CRITICAL FAIL. the first time you hit one of these, your macro would go Kaput, and you would stop. I guess for the first time ever I can see a good reason to have those fials in game ( although I prob wont be saying this on the next final assemblly LARGE HOUSE I critical fail on . . . :/ /shudder ).

Hope this helps.

Would a macro like this that uses the slot commands prevent you from going auto-AFK?
