Ok, it's an old thread, but I just found it ok.Tried this alias cmd out, didn't work for me. When I entered the cmd line as you have it written, /alias myschematic /sel XXX, or as /alias myschematic/sel XXX,I getthemsg 'unable to set alias'. If the cmd line is typed /alias myschematic/selXXX, you are rewarded with 'alias set', but when I run the macro, it doesn't pick the schematic, themsg Executing alias 'mySchematic/sel' ->'XXX' comes up and I say "XXX".

That aside, when I tried to change the schematic through the cmd line, the msg 'Matching aliases (abbrev)' popped up and didn't change the previous number. Have I put something in incorrectly, (/sel XXX removed and replaced with /mySchematic), or is it just bad luck and/or is there a way to clear aliases with out logging out?

thats pretty much the same as my macro, but for some reason it won't select the right schematic. EVEN though it worked fine prior to this crafting tool "fix". No matter what number i put in it keeps going to the shellfish harvestor tool.

I'm trying to craft heavy warheads using a WDG tool..... I'll have to post my macro for you all to look at it.

the first post macro worked fine for me when I tried it out last night. Had the usual errors which I found to be typos but in the end it worked great. the /sell ### is abit weird as they dont usually add up but after trying a couple of times you get there in the end!

Hey guys,

I just started crafting, and I've been looking for a good macro. Unfortunately this one doesn't seem to work. The /nextcraftingstage bit doesn't do anything.

Please help.

/sel xxx; Here you select which schematic the macro is taking, go into your datapad (ctrl+D) and count from the top, count from left to rigth, and dont count schematics that need a crafting station in, cause the macro wont work if you are near a crafting station. Write the number of your schematic instead of the "xxx". U may have to try a couple of times before u hit the rigth schematic.

ok this just aint working for me now, I count down left to right, I'm nowehere near a crafting station and even taking out schem' for crafting stations I still cant get the right item up when starting the macro!

Is there a simpler way to get the sel number because its driving me nuts!

This macro works...

It has worked(and still does) for me long time...

If it doesnt work check for typos and see if u have wrote in upper case the rigth places. 1 error can ruin the whole macro!

Check if u are beside a crafting station, remember!! A crafting droid can be near u even if are not beside a public station!

And to the member where the /nextcraftingstage; doesnt work... U can just write /nextC; instead.. quicker and easier...

And to the one who always got the same schematic: When u write a schematic number higher than u have schematics (fx U have 32 schematics and write /sel 45; It will just take the last schematic u have. Maybe thats what happened...

Hope this did help

Well I can't get '/nextcraftingstage' to work. In the end I had to go with the old '/ui action defaultButton' instead. That does the trick.

/sel xx; works like that :

-You must count (from 0) only the schematics that the tool you intend to use is able to craft.

If a General crafting device is unable to craft the schematics 4,5,6,7 and 8, if you want to craft the schematic 9 it will be :

-/sel 4;

and schematic in 9th position will be choosen by the command.

Found with Trial and error old system,lol.

It does not have to be:

oops...

I would have said:

It does not have to be

/NextCraftingStage;

Mine is:

/nextcraftingstage;

And it works fine!

Anyway it does not matter, its a better idea just to write:

/nextC;

Much quicker...
