Thread: Nerf
i wish i knew what vk's these guys are using to kill someone in full composite/buffs in 3 seconds. must be an exploit i have never been able to kill someone that fast with armor and i have been a tkm since long before it became the flavor of the month(s) thing.
Steiner.
i am a new tkm and i have been doing aloy of pvp. i go against someone in good composite armor who is buffed it takes a while to incap them and i get killed regularly by getting kited. esp. by carbineers. ![]()
although great up close it is not the superman combat profesion you think it is. thats why i took up rifleman also.
you guys dont get the point, you and most other melee classes outclass ranged fighters in PVE grossly and are almost gods in PVP, one ran by and annialahted my nice AR1 60% kinetic resist pet in mere seconds then put me down much faster, and by the way, if you lunge should you actually get closer to me rather than using your magic power to hit me 20m away with your bare hands?
i also hate meditate, all you guys need for wound healing is an entertainer occasionally.

I can't speak specifics about the professions you have listed, but in my experience, the true power of a profession is not realized until you hit master level. You are not a master of a single profession which *SHOULD* mean you will get owned by ANY player with a mastered combat profession. If that is not the case then why should people work toward master?
Add that to the fact that you are NOT buffed, and wearing composite armor, you have probably migrated your stats just enough to put it on, leaving no chance for regeneration. I would say that you were *lucky* to have lived for 3 seconds, had you been fighting a Master Rifleman, Master Carbineer, Master Pistoleer, Master Commando, or a (lucky) Master Swordsman, you would have been sent to the cloner with a single shot.
I am a TKM and I agree that we are VERY strong, maybe too strong. But we also have very glaring weaknesses that, if not covered up with skills from other professions, make us very vulnerable in combat.
I would suggest that if you want to survive in a PvP world that you: 1) Pick a profession and MASTER it. 2) Learn the strengths and weaknesses of that profession, as well as all other professions. 3) Use the strengths that specifically exploit the weaknesses of your opponent in combat. 4) Don't fight unbuffed unless you are expecting to die.
Like I said before, I am a TKM, and I get killed a LOT in PvP before I get within 50 meters of my target. That's not because Rifleman (et all) are overpowered, it's because that person was smart and used their strength against my weakness.
