You can find plenty of macros to help with surveying, just do a search. You just need a simple one that samples, then sits (for the interval between samples - or until you have recovered full action points - whichever is longer), and then stands and loops.

Get a stamina or quickness buff then AFK sample all night with a macro.

Like what they said, just grind it and it helps to have novice med or some buffs to last longer. Thanks to a stealth nerf you no longer get survey xp from harvested resources but the good news is that it shouldn't take too long to grind up survey 4. Maybe 5 hours or so.

As long as you have enough steel, alum, and ore on hand the whole class can be mastered in that time anyway.

I should add, it goes without saying to find a high % of something and have at it. Ignore the popups that ask you to spend 300 action to get a nice chunk - you get no extra xp from it - but go for the ones that point you to a better concentration. Getting up and moving around every once in a while lets you heal that much more. It helps to train as you go since better success rolls speed up your xp rate later on.

Gotta love the edit function...

to avoid pop ups and marco all night long use the following macro:

/stand; /pause 10;

/sample; /pause 5;

/sit; /pause 30;

/ui action toolbarSlot00;

You will have to adjust the third pause so you are sampling right as your action completely regens. The /sit; command degates the pop ups. When the next cycle starts it will ignore any pop ups.

If your sitting at your computer though, you can get buffs and complete Survey 4 in about 4 hours or less. Months, lol.

Hope this helps

It depends if you consider AFK macro grinding a "trick".

Nope, no way to increase...but you can make it less boring for yourself by macroing. I think of sampling as a social event myself.

I am currently a 4-4-4-1 artisan, going for master, and this surveying is killing me!

What is the quickest way to gain this xp? I think I may be doing something wrong, because its taking forever.

Thx if you can help.

Make a macro out of it, turn your monitor off, go to sleep, come back, train. Rinse and repeat until master artisan
