Thread: Survey xp
I believe its only physical surveying, but it goes up really fast. It won't take you long at all. I completed Survey 4 less than a week into the game, but that's about all I did besides crafting a few small things.

I've seen a couple posts on here that survey xp comes quickly.
I'm just not seeing it. I get 20-40 xp for every successful survey and its asking me to refocus approximately every 3 minutes, making this a mind numbing process.
I seem to recall getting survey xp for running harvesters, but it doesn't seem to work that way anymore.
Am I missing out on some source of survey xp?
Maybe I was just having a bad run of luck last night. I looked at the log and I was averaging 2 successful samples (sitting on 85%) between being asked to refocus.
My medic that I started when the game was new would have more survey xp when I logged back on than the day before, I assumed it was from running harvesters. He got up to survey 3, and he never did any sampling, other than just a few times to see how it worked.
Best advice i can offer: find the highest % u can of any resource, start sampling.....get a drink.....come back and heal action......walk the dog........come back and heal action.........go eat a snack........come back and heal action........go watch the grass grow........come back and heal action. get my drift?
You are just sampling for four hours?
What about sitting in camps while doing this for wilderness xp? What about practice crafting thing for xp? What about using /who and talking with people in game?
It goes slow, but there are two ways to do this: first contiue as you are and you'll be done by the end of the week. OR: make a macro and go to sleep and you'll be done by morning.
