The devs working on combat upgrade can either hit the forums and respond all day to your questions or work on CU. I am sure we are all in agreement with having them bang away at issues and bugs with CU rather then post all day.
The problem with that logic, is that you the Devs are coding away tweaking a system most of the players oppose on a basic level. If the Devs were reading the feedback and paying attention to the forum polls, you would realize that. The fact that you had to fire the armorsmith correspondent for rallying the troops should tell you something. I am sorry that SOE decided to waited until the last minute to test the CU, but that isn't our fault.
Furthermore, in light the blantant lie told in the chat last night regarding forum feedback, I am not inclined to believe the removal of the correspondent was justified.

Tiggs, please don't insult us. We aren't by any means saying that they should be posting all day. Would it hurt to post once, maybe TWICE a day, to calm us down, let us know what you're thinking? Just a "Hi, hello, still thinking about what to do, will promise to get back to you as soon as we can." That took 40 seconds. There is no excuse for your lack of communication.
There are actually many replies in the CU forum and the correspondent forum from Devs. They do respond when they can.

Wait? You're still using the CU forum? For the "alpha" teams?
No wonder no one testing / playing / talking about what is on TC knows anything... its all still NDA'd

I think they are talking about direct dev communication via specific stickied threads on the profession forums where we can see whats being done to our profession on a weekly basis and how much of that work has been done. That would be much clearer and more informative.

Tiggs very simple, after reading through a list given to you by a correspondent in the CU forum quickly reply with an ACKNOWLEDGED so it is known thatit was read. If your correspondents feel ignored, that is a serious problem and it is a problem you must address in a positive way. This is the wrong way to address a problem that is clearly on your end. Unprofessional behavoir begets unprofessionalism.

Are the correspondents allowed to post in the main forums that devs have responded and this is what they said?
If so, this can shift alot of the blame of communication problems from the devs to the correspondents.

Now there is some great communication to the player base...2 forums 99.9% of us have no access to.....

Not to be any more controversial than anybody else here, but from what I can tell, the messages about the combat revamp, among other things, that you guys are feeding us are a bunch of attempted calming propaganda, rather than true statements about what is really happening. For one, I dont think ive seen any more than 10-15 posts referring to the CU as a "good" thing.. that does NOT sound like positive feedback for me... how about you? I mean damn! Half of my entire guild, 30+ people are talking about leaving the game if you push the CU through as it is now, myself included... Is that enough Positive feedback for you? WE WILL QUIT IF YOU PUSH IT THROUGH!! Also, you people have NO creativity when it comes to new content and how to fix the game! The last 3 publishes, since the Jedi revamp have been total, utter, CRAP!!! You are Patch F'ing this game all over the place! Finally, you dont take the time to read our suggestions and complaints! I have seen some true diamonds in the rough when it comes to ideas on how to fix the games, and they just get ignored like everyone else here? WHY IS THAT?! Dont you care that we are helping you keep your job?? Without SWG, there is no opening for a position like the Dev's or Tiggs'... Finally, if this game ends up looking, feeling, and playing like EQ with starwars skins... oh man... I feel sorry for what you will have to endure... personally, I say fire the entire team and get some people who know what they are doing in there, rather than the bunch of ragtag misfits who basically close thier eyes and code randomly, hoping to stumble into a good idea, because we all know ya'll are incapable of doing it yourselves...

I understand where the community as a whole is coming from, and also see the side of the devs, but if we could at least know they are listening to us which we now know thats better than nothing in my eyes. I understand the time going into making the CU the best it can be. With our new correspondent we will hopefully be able to get a tad more information WITHOUT starting fires at the same time.
I too am a master armorsmith that browses these boards and rarely reply unless I see fit, but wanting to be a correspondent for awhile now myself for different professions I am active with, I track as many correspondent issues like this and posts to know how to be the best I can whenever it is my turn!!
So as a community we just need to stick together and let our issues be known and eventually when time permits we will get answers we seek!!
