i liked the way i played my AS...been at it since the start...dont want to play the game the way others play....i liked making all the armors...i liked sellin them cheap...i dont care bout creds..

As far as this being good to the overal game...i disagree..

This game from the start has been for the powerplayers/grinders..and the jedi.....i am not anyone of those...so i lose..i put up with much..adapted much...changed my game style to fit the "mold"...

I LOVED my proff....im going to miss it...

I was able to do what everyone else said not to..or was impossible.....i made master without grinding..yes..i did..took me 6 months..i sold or gave away all i made...been hoarding the best resourses for 2 years...got my own tapes..got all my own resourses by myself with one char and 4 lots for harvs...harvested my own organics...with just novice scout...and i sold all types of armor..thats right..not just comp...i sell chitin and ubese..and yes..even armorweave...i hand made most of my armor..took pride in the fact that i made real nice armor cheap...so much i hid my vendors due to demand...i sold wookie hunting armor for 100k...

now i will be just another newb AS who wont be making anything diff than the next Grinder..well....they can have my job...if i stay in the game at all..ill just be another loot whore driving up the prices.

i will wait 2 weeks after cu to drop AS...or my account...i should just get playstation and play mindless games like everyone else...this game will prob be on it in a year.....well..im done ranting..sorry to all those who had to read this...im going to find out where good loot is and camp it like everyone else.

I sincerely fail to see how you could feel like the new system will make it impossible for you to differentiate yourself from you competitors.

Bringing diveristy in demand will offer us much more possibilities to differentiate ourselves, and not only on the very slight percentage on the compo armor protection and condition due to the number of tapes we have.

Now we can only mass produce sub par products, while players that really play the game, and expect to be uber leet (see: PVP'ers, hardcore gamers, Hard core PvE'ers, power grinders, and anyone that plays the game more than two hours at a time) will expect armorsmiths to bend over backwards to utilize all this new loot system that has been implemented.

Although many of the new things they are doing to armorsmith are ruining the profession, this isn't IMO. I think before, and even now there are a few armorsmiths that dominateeach server. That is good, if you are that armorsmith, but if you are anyone else, thats bad. There are too many smiths out there forcing people out of the profession. I think if we had a system that favored (not forced) small scale crafting, it would be better for the profession as a whole, and not just the one or two armorsmiths per server that have cornered the market.

I am continually suprised that people expect to mass produce the best armor in the game while not even logged on, while their factories churn away at work. Am I the only one that sees the problem with that? It should be a difference between a mass produced car(chevy or ford), and a Ferrari, which is assembled by hand.

nah you are not alone, I feel like you. And I fail to see where is the fun factory mass producing one or two types of armors permanently, always the same, so on and so on...

Ok You make surely good money, that is the only good point.

Otherwise, the new system can only be more fun everyday than the one now. And yes, also more fair for new AS.

I'm disappointed with simplified AS'ing. I loved getting that new resource so I could get 1 point more base on my armor, or like just recently, maxing my ubese to 78% kin resists, which is the best on the server. I was probably the 3rd 12pt smith on Eclipse (a shame a 12 pt smith is useless now), been a smith for about 18 months, and loved every minute of it. I remember when 71% ubese was the best on Eclipse.

My proudest moment was when I created 80 Kin, 75 Electricity, 66 base composite with HAM that was 510 / 440 / 505. I entered the market on Eclipse when a composite suit was 500-600k for the best. I marketed my suits at 325k a suit and helped drive prices down for the average player. Since I started AS'ing, I've had over 4,000 unique customers. I've delved into sliced armor when smugglers were hard to find so that people could get what they needed. I've done whatever I could to make my customers happy.

And to be honest, I've received several billion credits. The funny thing is, I've never solda single one of them. Every single credit I've earned I have passed on one way or another... I've had people mine for me, hunt for me, or just helped out whoever I felt like. I don't regret anything I did with my profession and I'm hoping that the CU isn't going to ruin it. I will end up cancelling 2 of my 3 accounts if it does. It's been a fun run here and I truly hope that the Armorsmithing profession doesn't get ruined.

I chose Armorsmith because it was the MOST CHALLENGING profession in the game. I chose Armorsmith because I wanted to be the best of any on the server, and I really hope it's not ruined.

I'm sure it's here somewhere, but does FS crafting do anything now?

Could someone PLEASE fix the spelling of "summery" in the title of this thread?

Summery means balmy and warm, as in 'like the summer season.'
Summary means a brief synopsis of a larger comcept.

Jeez. It's been up forever and it's been driving me nuts.

There's no such word as increasement. It's increment.

I have been +2 smith for a long time now and im not quitting my account because of these insane changes. Armorsmithing WAS the high end crafting prof in SWG because we had so many options in experimentation on the different stages and ts all taken away now because of what ?
Modifiers are brought in and we cant experiment on them ..... what have we done to be reduced to a dummy class ?
And we get capital boring new things like more tons of different hides which we can buy at insane prices , start over with the ressources all the work collecting them for nothing now.
Now the pricing for the new armors will skyrock ...... hides even in segments .... u must be nuts is this armor or enhanced leather clothing ?
I have more then enough money but im not giving this to greedy rangers with insane prices for hide because no one will buy these 'armors' because they will become way to expensive .

I have decided to close my shops for a while and they are named 'armorsmith on strike' .

If i want a set for my fighting char ill get the res and build it but ill boycott the market until we get more options in experimentation and most of the hide is taken away from segments and cores .

Combat upgrade shouldnt mean wracking an crafting class . Sorry but im completly pissed off ........ ure experimentation suit is now worth nothing ........ get new ressources ........ buy tons of hide for insane prices but keep ure pricing low because of the reduced mission payout . Not with me ..... if someone wnats armor ..... pickup armorsmith and produce ure own .

its a lot to look at 6 to 8 mouth of mining to make a good armorsmith. if i just started playing to day the new cu would not be to bad, but i have been armorsmithing for 1 year and some have been here from the begining.

1. you give use 2 weeks to move skills. " i work 12 hr days its going to take a mouth to find all the stuff that i need to delete, and 2 weeks to figure out what i need to hunt and how to hunt.

Thank's for the time you put into this thread, Im concerned about everything listed in it. I have been an armor smith since month 3 of the game launch. I loged in this morning and it only took me 20 mins before i loged off so depressed i went back to sleep to avoid thinking about it. I have collected on average 5 mill units of every awsome shift of resources that I needed to make awsome armor for my customers. I dont like all the resource changes. I feel like the Devs havent apresiated all our hard work or our Profession as a whole. Im gonna play my alt for a couple of weeks before I try and sell my 150+ Mill units of resources I have collected over the past 2 years. Im only hanging on in hope the devs come to their sences. I really am dreading turning in my notice to Eclipse that I wont be crafting for them anymore. I have built so many great relationships with people over the years. I like crafting becuase of the people i meet and the 1 on 1 interactions I have with them.

Please Devs, dont kick us down we pay money to play this game,CU has made armor crafting the most unequal crafting profession when compared to all others. I cant see any reason to continue with the current CU changes to my once loved profession Armor Crafting
