This is fouling up my whole SWG experience- I have a dozen fac sets with buyers lined up- I need creds to buy stuff. C'mon this is ridiculous

It's not just armor, it's every single thing that requires a bio-link. Items that are already bio-linked are not supposed to be able to be traded. It seems like the system is reading EVERY item that requires a bio-link, whether bio-linked or not, as an untradeable item. This also means all the new quest armor and weapons are untradeable. Not just factional armor.

If that is the problem, I would think that would be one of the easiest fixes in the world. Hmmm, Im not a programer or dev but I understand enough to know that if the code is set at if "bio-link" <pending> then trade = true and if "bio-link" <%TT> then trade = False. Ok, Im sure that string is not really the way it should read but comeon, it has to be something as simple as that. Isn't it?

Someone posted in the Shadowfire Trade board that they could now trade a bio-linked weapon. Can anyone confirm or refute this claim through personal in-game experience with today's publish?

Just tried to put rebel battle armor boots on a vendor. No joy.

was reading the thread about what was fixed and this item really stands out :

All Mos Eisley NPCs in the Cantina have an information sign above their head

Maybe it's fixed on test, I'm sure as hell not going to waste my time to see - but I'll say it's not fixed on live for sure. (More than likely it's working as intended now.)

it does remind me of SoE fixes ... how about grey agro? that was fixed right. so they don't need to revisit it. there is no grey agro...

kind of like the PSG stat shifting bugs. We fixed it! (LOL - how many times did they say that.)

Well at least they aren't trying to make us think they fixed the faction bug when they didn't - but they will - maybe next week - just you wait and see.

As for armorsmiths 'walking out' and quitting - lol - do you think for one second SoE cares about that? They'll just get more ROTW orders. it's not like there are many Armor Smithsanyway. Just look how hard it is to get factioned armor now. (LOL)

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

I sent a message to Thunderheart asking for any info on when it will be back online since there is no dev word on it (at least that still exists) and he replied not knowing of any issue with faction armor problems

So just a thought coming from the conspiracy theorist deep down inside me - I wonder if they realized that from an economic standpoint Faction and Faction armor was a way bigger money sink than anticipated. I know they have many tweaks to manage the in-game economy. Wonder if this was purposefully broken to give time to address such a concern. It is a way bigger $$ sink than any other I can think of in-game.

Just a thought.

I thought they liked money sinks. :-)

they love money sinks.

If I cannot sell anything because my inventory is full (droids too), then all my revenues = 0 and all my expenses continue as normal. most of my expenses are credits going to maintence of equipment (money sink) - if I was like many MAS I'd be paying rent on 100+ lots too. Those expenses add up very quickly.

Once your revenues=0 and your expenses continue or grow (have to pay someone to do survey and harvester runs) you are operating in the red. The reason you cannot harvest or survey is when you die with many suits of factioned armor, they all decay. Decayed faction armor is used armor. Used armor just about never sells for what new armor sells for - so the crafter will get burned badly.
