Thread: Regarding Factional Armor Being Bugged

It's not just armor, it's every single thing that requires a bio-link. Items that are already bio-linked are not supposed to be able to be traded. It seems like the system is reading EVERY item that requires a bio-link, whether bio-linked or not, as an untradeable item. This also means all the new quest armor and weapons are untradeable. Not just factional armor.
If that is the problem, I would think that would be one of the easiest fixes in the world. Hmmm, Im not a programer or dev but I understand enough to know that if the code is set at if "bio-link" <pending> then trade = true and if "bio-link" <%TT> then trade = False. Ok, Im sure that string is not really the way it should read but comeon, it has to be something as simple as that. Isn't it?

Someone posted in the Shadowfire Trade board that they could now trade a bio-linked weapon. Can anyone confirm or refute this claim through personal in-game experience with today's publish? Look Here
Just tried to put rebel battle armor boots on a vendor. No joy.
So just a thought coming from the conspiracy theorist deep down inside me - I wonder if they realized that from an economic standpoint Faction and Faction armor was a way bigger money sink than anticipated. I know they have many tweaks to manage the in-game economy. Wonder if this was purposefully broken to give time to address such a concern. It is a way bigger $$ sink than any other I can think of in-game.
Just a thought.

I thought they liked money sinks. :-)
they love money sinks.
If I cannot sell anything because my inventory is full (droids too), then all my revenues = 0 and all my expenses continue as normal. most of my expenses are credits going to maintence of equipment (money sink) - if I was like many MAS I'd be paying rent on 100+ lots too. Those expenses add up very quickly.
Once your revenues=0 and your expenses continue or grow (have to pay someone to do survey and harvester runs) you are operating in the red. The reason you cannot harvest or survey is when you die with many suits of factioned armor, they all decay. Decayed faction armor is used armor. Used armor just about never sells for what new armor sells for - so the crafter will get burned badly.
