Right ok that makes sense, how long does stat migration work? I set up for it seems like a week ago and I barely notice any change

Depending on how big of a change the stats should migrate to the new targets over a couple of days. If you check the stat migration screen it should say if your current stats are at the new target or if they're still moving.

Not really sure what it is exactly you want to know. Most comp recently is around 70% base with kinetic as the special resistance. The only real decision you have is how much heath, action, and mind you're willing to lose and put into secondary stats. The better the slice, the more of if you can wear with your base stats. Stat migration isn't instant so don't expect to jump from chitin into a full suit of comp.

You can use buffs and drugs to get into any of it, but then taking it off to heal is a problem. The new brandy takes care of that though. 400 mind/focus/willpower for 40 minutes? Sick. As long as you have novice medic and some good still B's, you can use some of that and still heal effectively even though your armor is way too heavy for you to wear. Kinda broken.

Stun layered is good for pvp. In fact, I'd have to say that a stun layer helm (mine's 38%) is required nowadays for pvp even if the rest of your armor isn't stun layered. Too many riflemen out there with krayt jawa rifles. Without the stun layer you are vulnerable to stun type damage, meaning your armor won't have any effect at all on the dmg of that type.

One hint: if you want the highest possible kinetic resistance then you need to pick something other than kinetic for the special resistance and then get an effectivness slice. Doesn't sound right, but 70% base that gets a 20% slice is 84% base. Your special resistance doesn't get a bonus from the slice.

layers. all segs should be advanced with triple layers.

get your layers to about BE:2% with a Kentic:9%

any exp left dump it inot durabilty to lower the HAM

Put 8-9 points in general resits, then the last few in durability. This raises the special resists for some reason. Strange but whatever, it works.

Just because you see that 4% base effectiveness not rise past 4 as you dump another point or two into it doesn't necessarily mean it's a "wasted point" as there are hidden fractions in there. The question is if getting another 1% or 2% more base is worth it. If you are trying to make armor that can be sliced up to the magic 90% it might be worth it since it takes a base of at least 67% to have a chance of being sliced up to 90% (takes a perfect 35% eff. slice though).

I've tried it and nevergot the extra base points from it...and even if I did, those extra 4-5 exp points are much better spent in ham than they are getting another 1% base

bad advice?

i am able to make a 80% kentic suit with 70% on elec with a 55% base??? and i sell this for 250k. what is worng with that?

also i belive your hitting too low on kentic resists. it mabye my resources but i have yet to find armour layers with less than 7% kentic to get me to 80% overall.

Must be your resources, cause I get 80% kinetic, 78% electricity and 65% base resists from 3% base/5% kinetic layers, or even 80%/78%/69% from 4%/4% layers.

Yep, 2/6, 3/5 or 4/4 layers all get me to 80% Kinetic. Just depends on whether I want to make a heavy Kinetic suit with high base resists (65-70%)or a much lighter 80% Kinetic Resist suit with base resists of 61-62%.

9% on Kinetic is a complete waste of experimentation points unless you are using subpar resources. If this is the case you need to spend some cash on better resources.

Exactly...

You always have to tweek your layers anytime you switch a resource to make sure you're hitting EXACTLY 80%, without wasting even a single point over it. With my current layer and segment resources, I'm using 4% base / 5% kinetic layers. I avg 65-66% base with 80% kinetic.

...and there's nothing wrong with 55% base, after slicing it's still very good armor, but you'll want to make sure you're getting the most outta every exp point you'll get. If you're dumping 4-5 exps into base and still not getting more than 4%, IMO you're selling yourself short.
