To be honest, it doesn't look like these abilities will be hard to get, just look at the low amount of experience required.

One thing that bothers me about the skill trees is that it appears as if the exp line requires less xp than the assembly line. Most people prefer exp over assembly

I think this post is a little rediculous. Even if it is true, it is no different than things are now.

I mean lord knows I don't feel that I should have to go out and make a bazillion suits of composite, so that I can gather 50 million credits just to throw back into skill tapes, to make a bazillion more suits. However, its the way it is. Those who work hard get rewarded.

If they add bonuses for doing some Jedi quests, and thats what it takes to be the best, then so be it. Just do it or dont do it. Im sure you will sell plenty of armor either way. Also fretting about 10% of the change assuming the other 90% stays the same is rediculous until proven as fact.

Also if they were to call this an armorsmith quest, so you could get some bonus exp, you would all be singing the dev's praises. It's only simply because its part of a Force sensative system (which happens to be very Star-Warsy), that you are bitching. Also don't confuse Jedi with Force Sensative. The dev's are trying to create some new neat features to enhance everyone, and I hate when people selfishly crap on it. The whole puprose is to add some content to the game that has meaningful rewards, and is not just for people wanting to be Jedi.

Everyone screams they want content, yet **edit** no matter how its implimented.

Grrrrrr.

to answer some questinos, i believe that affects non jedi as well, i made a jedi on tc2(bria), and initially had to choose from 6 of those, trees, some were ranged defense/melee, BUT, some were ranged speed/accuracy, so that definetly isnt for jedi. and a tree for harvesting, med healing, so i believe the experiment bonuses are for the people who are force sensitive, that want some benefits. To get 4-0-0-0 for the +20 crafting takes i believe 4 skill points. I picked that up, and with ls-crafting tool didnt get any experiment points. So i think that we may actually see 14 point armor/weapon smiths, 14 point doc/cm's out there soon.

Also fought a tkm/fencer who had the combat tree, so those additional bonusus do indeed stack. On my jedi i went for all melee defense on those 1 point boxes, and it stacked on top of the ones i had picked for the full jedi. Granted that is test server not live, but it does offer some people some other options, to enhance their profession / game play, with bonusus.

and if not mistaken you need 24 of those boxes filled to get unlock, not sure on that. but those boxes are there for other stuff, other than giving us bonusus, LOL

Auso Ekim 12pointer, maybe 14, hmmmmmm

Now, realizing that this is not just some Jedi-only ability, Dirth's real question is, will this add to your skill tapes as a separate bonus to your skill enabling you to go above +125? Obviously I say this is not the case. I do not believe the Devs are going to allow this to enable you to go over the 125 experimentation level.

There is no cap at 125, that's just a result of all crafters having +100 from the profession and the +25 limit on skilltapes. Human artisans are currently able to reach 14 points (+15 racial bonus and +25 from tapes) so there is no reason to believe that people will be limited to 12 points with the jedi crap plus skilltapes.

Lol dawn of the 16 point artisans!

If I understand the Jedi robe, in the new way, it will be given by the game, not crafted. My alt is a master WS, AS, Artisan. I have been armorsmith for 3 months, gathering resources, reading, experimenting on crafting items. I can make ok items. But none of it even comes close to what I see out there from the top smith's. My resources are good-high quality, but I cannot produce a product that 1. is worth the time vs. profit.. or 2 . that anyone who can make 3-400k would even think of buying when you can buy a much better set for about the same price. Mind you, I have never sold a set of armor, simply because what I offer, for ANY price does not match or compare to what can be had for a little time earning credits. I see alot of peope telling the noob smith's to stop crying, that we were all new once..... guess what...when you were new there weren't 20 12points smith's to compete with!! I am not in a large guild, but we help each other out as much as possible, and it would help to be in a large guild, but whoever said something about missing the point of a MMORPG, is completely wrong. Suffice to say that I have no desire to be in a massive guild that you don't know everyone, or don't care to. I have friends/guildmates that I trust and can rely on. One final thing, there was a comment about a master smith earning credits.... they can also be given to someone, bought, traded...and so on. To any master who tells a noob to stop crying, you are crying, worrying about having competition from someone who didn't have to spend a fortune buying the extra 20 points. Get over it.....

I'm tempted to go AS since my jedi can automatically choose any template I want plus the force sensitive crafting boxes when pub9 hits.

lol

if you are just thinking about it you certinaly dont have the massive amount of insanly expencive reousrces, factories, harestors and other infastrucure required.

I am however doing this but then i spent 60mil so far on getting my +20 in tapes various resources i didnt have setting up all my factories ect and that doesnt even count the 50mil resources i had before i ever decided to do this from weaponsmithing and harvesting top resources along the way.

Even if they dont give me the force exp i a going to do this and enjoy it will still be a 12pnt smith the min i hit master anyhow whit the field of factories all set and ready to start pumping out my armor.

I have to disagree with most people here. I think it is a great idea. I have put up with months of not being able to afford skill tapes to be equal to those that did. As a casual player I got lucky and unlocked. Now I have a chance to compete. This levels the playing field. For monthsI couldn't compete with your extra points and I sucked it up. You do the same. Now to start selling and hopefully be able to afford SEAs and have the advantage for a change.

I have gotten info from TC3 that it now says that it will increase your chance of sucess on experimentation instead of giving extra points.

Could any with a jedi on TC3 check that out against for example master artisan.
