Really it's probably experimentation on a Jedi's Robe only. And that's a good thing since it'll probably suck otherwise.

I think the bonus will fall within the +25 cap.If it does, then I welcome this because its an alternative to having to pay out my nose for an experiment tape.

Are they not nerfing armor also? so even if we do get +14, with armor made to be weaker andbetter crafting maybe it is there way of balancing it to be about the same it is now... I like the idea. I for one will use the force sensitive for also Shipwright when it comes out.

As for the noob whines, about no fair cuz they can't compete, well adapt or die. I am +10 noob MAS and still making good stuff. Just spent my life savings on the best resources and lot guildees helping.

There is no cap at 125, that's just a result of all crafters having +100 from the profession and the +25 limit on skilltapes. Human artisans are currently able to reach 14 points (+15 racial bonus and +25 from tapes) so there is no reason to believe that people will be limited to 12 points with the jedi crap plus skilltapes.

What I know for a fact so far....

1) All 3 of my TC slots suddenly went force sensitive, so it will be your main character, not an extra slot.

2) The server went down after I logged on my armorsmith, to see if I would get 12 points. Didn't get to craft. Should only take a second to check, any metal will make a maberi segment, and that will give us one answer.

3) forgot to see if the skill points were in addition to your 250, I believe it was, since I got master armorsmith, novice doc ( with max crafting tree), and master artisan. I also got 6 trees of force sensitive stuff, in addition to that.

I have just takes the Crafting Mastery tree, with the full amount of Force Experimentation etc., and also 4004 armorsmith on one of my test-center2 chars.

Currently, I still only get the expected 7 experiment points (from techniques 4), and not 9 as people are assuming.

I'll let the AS boards know if this changes, but as of currently, the force experimentation does not affect armor experimentation.

Ok, on point 3, the force sensitive stuff DOES count against your 250 points!

Ok, just made a regular armorweave segment. Only 10 points available. Using a really nice steel with mediocre oq, I was about to use up all 10 points in the base, and still have boxes left. Started at 9% and finished at 68% ( 3% base).

So, no, the force experimentation boxes DO NOT have anything to do with armorsmithing.

it's probably broken like so many other things on TC right now.

the skill description specifically says it increases the number of experimentation points available, so either the description is wrong or it's bugged and not working.

WOOOOOT the survey force sensitive skill works!

4 xp points instead of 14

I surrendered 1 box, and it didn't change any distance at all, still got 320. After surrendering everything, I still was able to get 126m survey, and 20% or over sample ability!

I really don't think some of you have looked over the Jedi revamp stuff. These "Force Experiementation" skills are coming from the new Force Sensitive trees that are going to be available to everyone. These skills DIRECTLY affect and benefit your regular Non-Jedi self. They are not something that is going to be specifically for "Jedi robes", or "Jedi only", or anything like that. These trees are a way for all characters (Armorsmiths, Pistoleers, Chefs...) to dabble in the Force. I have a feeling some of this stems from the criticisms that the Force has thusfar only been for Jedi and there are no true Force Sensitives.

The name "Force Experimentation" is just a name. Its because its in the Force Sensitive trees and is a special ability to enhance your experimentation through the Force. I fully believe that it is not some new special ability that will be separate from your regular experiementation. Think of it as a SEA that actually makes sense. I mean who heard of a gause bandage that makes you better at repairing things anyways?

Now, realizing that this is not just some Jedi-only ability, Dirth's real question is, will this add to your skill tapes as a separate bonus to your skill enabling you to go above +125? Obviously I say this is not the case. I do not believe the Devs are going to allow this to enable you to go over the 125 experimentation level. They are very sensitive to crafting, and I don't see any reason why they would allow this given that they have already basically said that we are making too powerful of items already. Its an option. Thats it. You can do skill tapes, or the Force. Your choice.

I'm not making this up, I'm not trying to claim I "know something" or anything like that. All you have to do is go backand read the posts the Devs have made. If this is not the way it all turns out I will be the first to ask for the salt to go with my "crow".
