Yeah, the schematics from the quest are permanent.

The Interwoven RIS schematic that drops from Ackley in Geo cave is 5 uses. You can make RIS without it using the quest segment, but it's an improved RIS segment that lets you use a third layer and a geo cube to get higher resists/lower hams.

Once you get the schems from completing the quest, you can make as much as you want.

So if I have an old Pre CU RIS set I can take it, get it broken down and remade now? Do I get the components back abd recraft it? Do I need new resources and get the loot seperate back? Not sure how this works. Thanks.

you should get back an ris segment i believe, which essentally is the looted components. no resources tho

Can't use the forum search so I thought I'd just ask. How many components do you loose when you do the Ris quest? Wondering if I should do the quest myself or pay someone to make it, don't wanna lose all my components though.

I have one simple question do the stats on the resources I use matter? Do they have to have high OQ, CD, UT etc etc anyone know?

the stats resources in theRIS segment do not have any effect on the finished piece of armor.

The resources used in the final combine (Talusian fiberplast and chromium aluminum) do affect the condtion but not protection.

I was going to set a goal of getting a suit of RIS before I last cancelled. Unfortunately it never happened so I'm taking up that task for now. I now know what critters drop what I need, but I don't know how many of each components I need.

It appears to be a feasible task, and based on what I've read, quite a few of us havesome now.How long did it take all of you? how much did it cost you to have the armor put together?

9 each of the following:

GDK scales
Woolmander bones
Gurk King hides.

also, if you want to have a health bonus in your armor, you'll want 9 peko peko albatross feathers. they health bonus is borked right now, but in theory they'll fix that later.

I collected all the pieces with lythender and ended up getting the armor for free because DesktopSaki is awesome. It took me about a week and a half of dedicated hunting to get them all.

if you're buying the pieces, expect to pay 100-200k per componant (about 2.7-5.4 million in total). Just remember that Gurk Kings spawn from gurk bases with 2 or more feral gurks ouside of them. Also, the GDK spawn at Kimogila town now appears every 10 minutes. The Woolmander Harrowers (found in the room to the right of the Woolmander Temple) also spawn about every 10 minutes.

Hardest thing to collect is feathers. You kinda have to be lucky there.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
