The one at Kimo City drops them as well. Don't know where you got your info...

Non AS here. I like the rarity of the armor- seen maybe 2 pieces of it here on Eclipse. I hunt the loot drops when I have time and thought I'd share some approximate %s with you. These come from a friend who did a lot of research as well as from my own experience.

Peko Peko Albatross- Drops around 90-95% of the time. Personally helped kill 2 or 3 anda feather was lootedeach time.

Woolamander Harrower- Around 5% drop rate. Killedat least 50of these myself. I think I have gotten 3 drops so far.

Reclusive Gurk King- Around 25% drop rate. I've killed dozens of them and gotten 4 or 5 drops total.

Giant Dune Kimogila- Not enough info to go on, but after killing 5 or so, we have looted 1 scale.

Hope someone finds this info useful.

EDIT: Killed the static GDK many, many, many times (50 or so?)with no GDK scale. The wild ones are whereour one drop came from.

screw the GDK scale and SOE just band together to rid lok of every non-loot droping kimogilla out there thats my drive for it all.....lol......sorry fellows and ladys just had to add my 2 cents but do agree with keeping RIS rare

Stop whining for everything to be handed to you! - this is not a flame but a mere submission that SOE may have done something right. I saw a guy on my server with the RIS helm on and I was hooked! I got buffed and went to Lok - checked the forums for spawn areas, looted a gurk king hide my first kill - Awesome!

4 dead GDKs and 1 scale - if I don't loot another scale for 30 more kills I will not be surprised, my jaw dropped when I DID loot one!

I'm still gonna continue my hologrinding, of course, but this has given me an actual goal in this game! Sure I may get downtrodden after like 30 more GDKs and no loot but that's fine - this armor is awesome! I would like to see it be Medium rated, and that's my only complaint - crafters can get around the vulns.

I have nothing new to add to this thread other than my sparked excitement that comes with a quest that can't be completed in one buff's time.... It gives ASs a rank now! RIS certified ?!?! Had I not seen that helm in Theed I would have thought ASs were just banks now lol (no offense guys, your armor's great, but you've gotta be bored as hell) Now they have a status! Who will you go to when you've finally looted your components?? I know

but I'm not telling - I love this quest - and I will bask in the glory of my reward if I should complete it! Don't let everyone who wants thisarmor have it, if that includes me, fine, keep RIS prestigious!

People have unlocked plenty, those who are bored of the grind and PvP want something to do - if they're not ready to cancel their account they'll become interested in hard to find things. I never liked static spawns because of camping, but wild spawns result in kill stealing. No way to get around this but I'm gonna stick it out - who's with me???

killed 60 so far... none dropped.A few peopleI know said they got 1 drop out of about 120 kills... thats rediculous. this is already a challenge to acquire. killing the only GDK that spawns every hour or so 120 times is madness.

That's not the only GDK that spawns.

Yup. Last two times I was out there I was alternating between two random spawns about 500m apart. Killed 10 GDK's in about an hour and a half.

Besides, isn't this thread a moot point? The devs have already said the GDK drop rate is staying as it is.

Id actually be happy witha 1 in 50 drop rate on the stupid things considering Ive killed over 100 of the damend things and gotten 1 damned scale

so I'll /sign if its lowered a teeny bit 1in 60 or so
