Since I am the new kid on the block I would like to take a little survey to see what "you" feel is the most pressing issue with your profession right now. Wait! Don't post just yet, seriously think about this for a moment and then post what "you" feel is important, not what you think the overall class feels is important. (Flamers, trolls need not reply).

There are no promises being made that you will see immediate changes implemented. This is simply to gauge what you feel is important so that I can discuss this further with the team. I am going through a few professions at a time so if you don't see this post in another forum you participate in, do not worry. I will get to the other forums in time

My first first!

Better make my position count....

I have a long standing issue with Armor Repair Tools. I have 99.9% tools yet I fail about 1 out of every 7 times. And whenI do succed its 70% marginally repaired and less that 10% minor blemishes. Armor is expensive and i hate telling ppl I ruined their chestpiece with all stats at 80% or better.

My next 2 are DWB related.

I have been fortunate enough to craft 3 of the 6 pieces of Mandalore Armor on Corbantis. Of those 6 pieces made, maybe two of them match in color. We did a run just last night and the Bicep I make came out with a bright red base and an white plate. Compared with the Chest I did which was a blue on gold, and the boots which were a copper-ish color, as well as the Leggings, Helm, and other Bicep which each have their own color. The supposed 'coolest' and 'best' armor in the game looks like a clown suit! I would like a way to be able to pickthe color, either during the crafting process, or some device in another part of the DWB. I know the randomness of the colors was purposefull, but we are the only group on Corbantis attempting a full suit, and at this rate a color matched suit will take years to make, if ever.

The next DWB/Mandalore item is a bit selfish and egomaniacal, but I think the completed pieceofMandalore should have thecrafters name on it. AlsoI think everyone who is on a sucessfull crafting run in the DWB should get a badge.

Not sure if this is an issue, but i would like to see diffrent looking armors. Meaning that a Naboo Composite should look diffrent than an Corellian Composite. Keep the stats the same just a diffrent look. I think this should be done even if the revamp adresses the armor inbalance issues. More variety and choice is allways good.

I would also like to see a 'Profession Longevity' Award. Something for the peope who stuck with their chosen profession and didnt hologrind. I am very proud of my profession and very happy doing it. Some recognition would be nice other than a VERY rare profession exelence badge.

Thats all i have for now, my issues do change like the weather so I reserve the right to post again

Welcome Tiggs,

in a nutshell - Craftable Faction Armour.

It's not that i hate having the cash from selling all that Composite and Ubese. It's that it's so UN-STAR-WARS to see the local imps and rebels go at it dressed identically.

Thanks for stopping by.

1) Factional Armor needs to be one of the best armors in game. In addition, it should be craftable, but with some restrictions.

2) HAM costs need to play a bigger role in armor, as it stands, HAM's are pretty meaningless.

3) Lightsaber resists need to work for PSGs

4) Mandalorian and RIS should be the best armors in game.

I'll have more but this is a quickie before class starts.

Hi Tiggs:

It was stated by TH that Personal Shied Generators were to be light saber resistant. They are only if you take them out of the crate right before battle and you dont cross a server boundry or shuttle anywhere. Given that the persons hunting Jedi have to chase them often their shields lose the Light saber resist.

As my alternate character is a bounty hunter I am aware of this intimately. Be very carefull if you plan to post this question to the Bounty Hunter forum, as I am sure you have been warned you will get a very imediate and strong response. On that note all players there will be very glad to see some one taking interest in their plight.

I agree 100% our class is in pretty good shape, we could use some Crafting Aprons but first and foremost we need to be able to create Factional Armor that has resists that are comprable to Composite and Ubese (Ubese is Star-Warsy, Composite isn't) I want to sell Rebel armor like they had on Yavin IV after the Death Star's demise. We also need comprable Storm Trooper armor, everyone on every server want's to see Imps wear ST armor, that's a simple fact.

There is a issue with not being able to experiment on Generic crafting tools(my guess is since there is no crafting station dedicated to them) but if they were added to the list of item a weapon/droid and general crafting tool this could be taken care of.

It would be nice to be able to experiment on different attributes of a speeder. Ex. Speed, turning radius, fuel efficiency, speeder durability(HAM), and permanent paint jobs.

As for my issue. Make the CA's (experimentation, assembly)worth something. And add 2 more to have a total of 4 (same as DE). Make a +12 point Artisan the top of his profession as in (Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, BioEngineer).

Artisan is obviously a gateway profession to other elites. We have some consummables that are required by some professions. The main income stream for many has been vehicles. I think vehicles were poorly implemented and have cheated our profession out of potential for more income.

Vehicles should have attributes other than "hit points" that are experimentable on. We should be able to experiment on top speed, acceleration, handling, durability. With the race tracks in the game, it cries out for vehicles that can be customized to give racers different advantages.

I don't play master artisan a whole lot, it just augments my architect. But this is my major complaint.
