Regardless slomoshun I had no idea, i was ignorant of the storage rule. Aswell I am not the only one ignorant to this rule. I am positive that there are thousands out there that do not know of this rule, and will have to find out the hard way.

Do you not think when they implimented the 7 day rule they would have thought to add a line of text to the auction failed message just to make sure everyone does know this. Its a pretty big change.

"Your auction of*Insert item here*has been completed and has not been purchased. You have 7 days to retrieve the item from the stock room at which time it will be deleted"

I agree with botched this whole thing sucks. I actually lost all my factories when i moved and wasnt able to get online for 2 weeks straight they collapsed and i lost nearly everything 6 months of stockpiles in fact. I didnt write a csr to complain tho because it was my own fault. I should have made arrangements with friends in game to monitor my stuff durring my move. But this vendor storeroom not being a storeroom thing is just plain silly.

I've been playing since the first month the game was released and i didn't know about this till just now. I'd be hopping mad at soe if this was how i lost my stuff.

Soe should give him back his things.

Also, i think its really 30 days. 7 days was what it used to be a few patches back, and what led to horrendous screw ups when the code kinda worked when they changed it to 30 and stuff started disappearing. Havent you ever wondered why your stockroom items has a clock counting down? SOE more or less feels that using vendors for storage is an exploit.

I feel your pain, but yes, a vendor should not be used to store items .

Vendors are there to sell.

Not a way toget aroundthe limit on how many objects you can store in a house....

Or the house item limit wouldn't be there to start....

Never happened to me, but I still canceled a few days ago. Too many games coming out soon that have potential. This one has lost all potential (unless maybe SOE sells it to IDSoftware or Blizzard or some other organization)

I feel for your loss. If it happened to me, I would definitely quit the game, whether it was my ownfault or not. However, the vendor storage thing has been a known issue for months now. This isn't anything new. And it's called 'Stockroom', not 'Storeroom'. There's a difference, albeit a subtle one. Basically, when a sale expires, it has to go somewhere, and the game is set up so it automatically goes to the stockroom. It was never intended to be a long term storage area for your resources.

It would be nice if there was a system message when you put stuff in thevendor stockroomthat said 'your items will disappear in 7 days', or something like that, but I really don't think SOE is obligated to do that. SOE has documented the stockroom storageissue, and it's been mentioned many times in the forums, they can't be responsible for making sure everyone is 100% aware of every rule.

Your loss sucks big time, but in this case I don't think it's SOE's fault. You can either quit and start a different game (which is probably what I would do in your case), or start over. Yeah, sometimes life sucks.

I cant take it anymore, im tired of this game. Its all about money and playing a class that you dont want because its the only one that can do uber damage. I am tired of hunting a jedi who is in a group of 10 people protecting him, while he is buffed, has a shield and is in full composite armor. I will play again if the combat revamp makes it so the player who practices pvp is good not the person who picks a FOTM and can afford the best gear.

Most of what you say is false. For One, bounty hunters can be outdamaged by riflemen making the profession a COMPLETE waste of points rather than Just a slight waste. Investigation is the only thing unique and worthwhile about this profession yet unfortunately it is one of the most difficult and boring grinds in the game. Player Jedi who hunt with others will appear on terminals faster, and while are surrounded by flunkies, they are relatively weak themselves. If you have problems taking down a Jedi, you can play dirty too. Take along a group of friends for back-up and don't forget your buffs. Take into account these steps when fighting Jedi:

Most Jedi players will attempt or succeed in using thefollowing tricks:

1. Train in a remote location close to a large body of water, they see you approaching on the radar thus eliminating the element of surprise that bounty hunters often rely on (Hint Hint tanks). They then sit in the middle of the lake out of weapon range on a speeder bike. If you get close, they take off. The infamous player Patrick Arzo (whom now everyone and their parents hate is a well known practioner of this lame tactic). This is unavoidable if confronted and hopefully if our benevolent devs aren't too busy adding new conversation options to brick walls or giving droids yet more useless features, we might actually see a way round this at some point

2. Train with 6 uber buddies who snap you like a dry twig if you get close (only way to combat this is to do the same

3. They lack both of the above and will pull a 'last resort.' Jedi will often try to bluff their way out of being killed by threatening to report you for griefing or using the popular 'my friend is a csr/dev and will have you banned if you kill me' line. Ignore this like the plague and laugh it off stating that Jedi killing is a feature of the game and if cry babies can't handle it, they shouldn't be using their Jedi
