just so you all know it can happen

my brother lost some iron off one of his vendors, just poofed on him. It was a lot of iron that had not been around for a while, worth a pretty penny.

made a ticket, talked to a csr, got his iron replaced. He ended up getting more than he originally lost, they rounded up on a few stacks. just took a few days to coordinate with csr

Happened to mea couple times

The last time I lost 20 sets of armor when my storage house disappeared.

like I said... I will quit if I dont get it back,

how things still go missing in this game is a complete mystery to me, i would think the bug would have been found by now...

HERE IS THE EXACT CONVERSATION BETWEEN MYSELF AND A CSR... ****ING MIND BLOWING

ME- >I am extremely upset. I am an armorsmith in this game, and I keep all my resources in the stock room in my vendor. anyway I have been stock pilling the best resources I can get for a few months now, but recently when I went into my vendor 90% of what I had there is gone. I had thousands upon thousands of resources. I put alot of time and effort into gathering these resources so that I could put out a quality product in this game.

Anyway I would like them back, however knowing your track record I doubt this will be possible. If I do not get my resources back I will be quitting this game because I wouldn't want to start all over.

The vendor everything is missing off of is named "STORAGE SPACE". I cant exactly tell you what went missing, other than thousands of resources and items I had in my vendor. I litteraly mean thousands. They all disapeared from the "stock room" in my vendor called storage space. I liked to keep my resources and items on the vendor because they stay very orgnanized this way.

Please help me, I dont want to leave this game

CS Agent CSR - SUZIEO -> thank you for contacting us. A vendors stockroom is not meant to be used as a long term storage solution. Any items left in there longer than seven days will automatically be removed from the game. I do understand teh frustration this must be causing you, and I wish there was more that we could do to assit you. I wish you the best of luck and safe travels.

ME -> well thanks for letting us know this.... i got no warning what so ever, and did not know there was anything wrong with this. STORAGE ROOM WOULD BE CONSIDERED SOMETHING YOU WOULD STORE ITEMS IN??? DO YOU NOT THINK THIS IS MISSLEADING??? I SAW NO TIME ON THE ITEMS IN MY STORAGE ROOM EITHER!!!

Replace my items, and I will be happy and never break your storage rules again. Thanks

CSR JONW -> This informatino is availible both on the website (in the update notes where it has been altered) and in the knowledgebase. Due to the great number of changes involved in the game we cannot advertise each one, but the issue is documented in more than one location. I am very sorry but we will be unable to resotore these items to you as they were not lost doe to a game error.

this is crazy!!! Why would they not tell us this rule in a mail or something... give us some warning, am I expected to read every change in this game that might affect me before I play each day? What if I was gone for two weeks, and then this change took place.... this is ludacris... I suggest that every petition against this kind of abuse. After all the only reason the did not tell anyone about this is because they probably wanted to make some relief on thier data base. That extra 2% they probably relieved makes the servers now run so much better.

And to the CSRS... Your cold and heartless.... I will never buy a sony product again

I have issues as well, in agreement with some of the other folks posting here...HOWEVER...in your case the CSR was right. The storage room on a vendor is a temp .bin file, this information is in several different places, has been discused on these boards, and is listed on the holocron (cntrl-H). While I empathize with you more than the tone of this post indicates, you messed up. You cannot expect SOE to cover user error.

in my opinion soe did not go far enough to warn me... as to using the vendor as storage space, it saysstockroomright on it... I put my stock in the stock room... what I stock the stock room with is my personal discretion.

when you put an item in the stoockroom it does not say anything like "you have 7 days to remove this item from the vendor before it is disposed of"...

In the end It is not the fact that they have a 7 day time limit on items in the stockroom, its that I was not warned at all. I had no clue this was coming.

I don't know where to stand on this one. I mean, I feel for ya, and your loss. But I have been playing this game for a while too, adn I have know about the fact that the stockroom stuff will disappear (just like purchased items on the bazaar that you don't pick up) after like a week or so of placing my first vendor.I am almost thinking that it says something in the menu of your stockroom itself or something like that.

If you had tons of stuff, why did you just this week start putting it in the stockroom category. In order to do that, you would have had to put it on the vendor, then withdrawl the sale, which is more time intensive, and less organized than just putting it on the vendor in the first place? Anyway, good luck in getting your stuff back, but if not, don't sweat it, it is just a game, and there are more new ones coming out every month.

Not attacking you, but here is a similar example. my buddy had all his stuff in a factory, and forgot to pay on it, and it poofed. He lost all his armorsmithing stuff too. He talked to the CSR too, and they couldn't help him. Now, I do feel sorry for him, but hey, really he has nobody to blame but himself. If they could help him, that would be fine, but I don't think they owe him anything for not being on top of his toon enough to follow the rules. Since when is it someone elses job to stop us from doing stupid things to ourselves.

My final comment. To everyone who reads this. KEEP YOUR RESOURCES IN THE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX. That way they won't ever go anywhere. I could lose my vendors, my house, and my factories tomorrow. And I would lose about 3mil in Armor and PSG's for sale, and a couple mil of stuff, as well as a ton of gametime. But I would still have the materials to make about 100 suts of each armor (minus the hides), so I would alwaysbe able to recover. Additionally, it is nice to be able to check your resources in any bank on your home planet.
