It seems like those "critical successes" are too rare to be easily reproduceable. In 15 months of crafting, I've never known any AS on sunrunner to break any cap with one..

And these guys have independently repeated the result within a matter of days

I didnt say they werent well made, but you mean to tell me on that wookiee hunting someone got double layer kinetic results and still got 40% stun with only kinetic and stun in special?

Hey genious- kinetic is a special resist in hunting armor. I used 3 stun layers, maxed base, and put 2 or 3 points into kinetic.

I didn’t doubt you did it genius, I do have eyes. A jump that high in kinetic is what I'm questioning even if it were to follow the same rules as comp replacing elec with kinetic all the way up it doesn’t taste right. Kudos’ to you on all your work, it just doesn’t sit well.

Do you know anything about the crafted armor? 80 Kin/57 base composite comes out with about 65-68 electricity. All you have you have to do is put the 3-4 points you put into HAM into the special to max electric.

Wookiee armor is the same way with kinetic. Although on the segs since the resource quality is low you have a LOT of extra points after maxing base. Jesus every server is filled with Triple 80 plus Wookiee armor with bases in the 60s.

So you going to tell us how you did it?

Or just whine like a chick.

If you also note I did not cry exploit, I just said it was an interesting puzzle. If indeed the 44 stun was an accident then by all means run with it. One of the reasons I gave up AS was this messed up crafting system where things like this are possible by essentially breaking the rules of how it is intended to work. And yes I have made triple 80 and yes do know how it works. Items made with best possible resources while being able to vary in some ways shouldn’t be drastically different. I’m not here to get in a pissing contest with you; I’m just saying it doesn’t taste right. As I said, kudos to you for the good work. I just think everyone would like to see the pre-schematic experimentation results.

I cannot seem to find it, could you show me the post?

Im thinking it was the critical fails?

SO IS IT A CRITICAL SUCCESS?

More interesting reading on "critical success" in this thread.

Highlights include this comment by Thunderheart:

There is a chance for critical fail and also critical successes. Its a great risk vs reward mechanic. Its game play. Without risk versus reward, there is no "game".

Someone basically asked "Are there really critical successes?!?", and Thunderheart replied:

Yes - - with the same frequency.

Presumably this means same frequency as critical fails. This seems to be demonstrably not the case. Someone even posted some statistics after crafting a mix of 97 different weapons (this is on page 16 of the thread):

I had 12 Critical failures on assembly 12/97 = 12.37% failure rate on 97 attempted crafts.
I had my first ever critical success on a tangle pistol, of thousands of crafts last night.
I had 2 amazing success assemblies, and the rest were great successes

The same person later gave the states achieved with this critical success:

I believe critical successes do exist. I was making a bunch of Tangle pistols by hand to help test this thread out. (I made a bunch of weapons) One of my dangle pistol experimentations was 3.0speed 104 max damage.
I have never had a tangle pistol that fast in my entire time crafting. They've always been 3.4speed and overing really close to 100 damage (99-102) which leads me to believe that my 3.0 104max damage tangle pistol was a critical success. I ahve not been able to repeat that as well. Luckily I made a schematic and was able to make 25 of those pistols.

Lots of people chimed in to say there was no such thing as critical successes, that if there was then it is way too low a roll, that it seems amazing sucesses come about as often as critical failures, etc.

One thing that I wonder myself is if both critical successes and critical failures exist for assembly, then what about critical sucesses for experimentation?
