The devs working on combat upgrade can either hit the forums and respond all day to your questions or work on CU. I am sure we are all in agreement with having them bang away at issues and bugs with CU rather then post all day.

No, the game designers need to be working on the issues, but doesn't SWG staff have someone who's job is to let us know what's going on? Isn't there SOMEONE who is supposed to act as liason between players and the design team to let each know and better understand where the game is going.

In fact isn't that YOUR job?

well But how do you know what problems to "fix" when you Dont have time to read the foruns? Why is that many treads that say something negative get deleted? It seems to me The only feedback that you guys like are the good ones.(too bad there aren't many:smileysad

PS: have you fix that horrible Blue effect from docs when they are healing? or is it really meant to look like a EQ spell?

Correspondents have rules just as you do on our forums and these need to be upheld. When a correspondent goes against the rules they will be removed just as any of you would be. A correspondent's position is to bring to the Dev team the issues their profession is currently having or foresee. It is not to rally up the troops and spam in private message tells to the devs, just to be heard. The correspondents have direct access to our email addresses and to the correspondent forum. Unfortunately there are times when TH and I get very busy and we need to concentrate on the other duties we have. During these times the correspondents may not hear anything from us. We do however let them know we are still reading their posts or emails even if we aren't replying and their concerns are being brought to the table.

All of this is outlined in the correspondent forum, the application for being a correspondent and the welcome letter they receive.

Please keep it constructive, any posts that are not constructive will be removed.

One more thing Tiggs, i hope you and the devs understand that the "majority" of the players DO NOT feel the way most of these players feel. If you notice most of the players that started making a big fuzz in general (reguardless of profession) are the ones that under the current "live" combat system have some sort of an "edge" over the rest of the players, in the AS'ers case its those that have 12pt cloths + extremely hard to get resources + insane HIGH quality resources so they have been spoiled by taking over their market as no NEW players or AS'er can compete and since they have the founds on top of that they can sell at just about any price to close out any local competition. With that said, i do acknowledge where you guys are headed and DO see the big picture in terms of roles and balances, so once again PLEASE keep up the great work and thank you for all your efforts as i truely understand how hard it is to create something for masses and have that fine line of "knowing" you will not satisfy "ever" everyone 100%.

Thanks!

Oh...so keep coding and don't try to understand the issues that are presented. Seriously, all the focus on the CU has been on how the combat related changes affect people. Your focus of the day questions are on combat. Your polls on when you leave TC are on combat. There is nothing about crafting or our profession in general. And I would say we are the profession that is getting the biggest change in this 'upgrade'. Wouldn't you think you'd pay a little more attention to our feelings on issues instead of asking 'How do you feel about the icons?'.

Come'on, sure a developer should be writing code and fixing bugs, but let's make sure he's fixing the right bugs and making the right code changes. If he/she isn't in here checking posts, then you and TH need to be. If your priorities are on combat related issues, then so be it because we'll know where we stand. But we went almost a week without any responses and our correspondent was ignored. A WEEK! Isn't that about 1/5th the testing cycle? I think that's inexcusable. And we were just asking for something that said, "I've seen your concerns, I'll let you know more later."

I've been here since the beginning. I've given SOE every benefit of the doubt in the past, but this is really wearing me thin.

Tiggs-

Agreed, they probably should be coding and fixing issues rather than trolling the forums all day... But *something* is better than nothing, which is what we have now. You might have seen this comment thousands of times: "Do the Devs even read the forums? Doubt it." That is because WE, the CUSTOMERS, do not hear anything from the devs, nor does it feel like our concerns regarding the game are ever even taken into account. I mean, come on, if someone comes up with a really great idea for the game, or makes a suggestion to change something that is plausible, feasible, etc, a few words on why it *wont* be put into effect would be nice, instead of letting us sit here and think "Wish the devs would read this". If the boards ARE checked from time to time, let us know! Show you care about our concerns by responding to us every once in a while! Thank you =)

EDIT: And as many others have stated, If the Devs DO NOT read the forums, and interact with the playerbase, HOW CAN THEY FIX PROBLEMS AND ISSUES IN THE GAME??? I want to venture forth this thought... If they do not know the problems, HOW CAN THEY FIX THEM??? I've noticed that whatever issues players point out don't get fixed, and whenever the game is changed w/o interaction with the playerbase, there is mass complaints/flaming/problems.... How about finding out what your Paying Customers want?? I do not mean to offend, not at all, but we have little else to be except frustrated.

There are many issues (nobody seems to hear) the people have here - not many questions.
Second is: I agree that the DEVs should not waste their time here, that's why a company employs special people for this job ("communtiy relations...").

SO you saying that the guy who worked for 2 years to get the best ressources, the best CA's , dont have the right to complain?? Should they "balance" the profession so that any noobie that just mastered the profession will be at same level??
