Agrees on that armorsmiths should be able to craft factional armor (and no special loot tocraft the faction armor) and have a bit of revamping on them so they protect more, like around 50-65% maximum base,so they can compete with other armors as well and not used as a show off as now (it is a greater feel to the game if every one turned up in factional armor on a PvP event).

Please add repair to this list for 2 reasons.

Example i have 1000 con copper on bria and all i can get on armor or weapons repair kits to 99.999999

with 1000 con i sould be 100% i was on patch day btw.

Also i wish to see what lvl of repair i get bya number like the exp on it example +15 and so on.

I just hate to repair armor as i think the artisan can do it better then a master armorsmith the other
reason i say this is the exp points for the kits are done under artisan not armor.

I hope i said that right. i wish to see who is the better repair and see whats the repair is under.

I think people wiser and more experienced have probably identified all the best issues, but as a newcomer to the AS profession, I offer up one small suggestion -

- Have a subset of colors available in factory-made armor. I get tired of seeing everyone in black and brown armor. Boring. Have the full palette of colors available for custom, hand-made armor as that is a good market, but have some colors available for factory-made armor.

I'd like to see Bio-Engineer tissues or components that either go into the segment's component slot, into the layers, and/or into the Synthetic Cloth / RFP's and that will actually carry over into the final pieces.

I should add that Wookiees can wear their bracers (which cover the lower arm AND the hand according to the art/model) and are able to wear normal clothing gloves over top of these..

I forgot one.

The panels on the front of the mabari chest currently don't match. They should. It looks funny when the top panel is a different color than the bottom panel.

Sorry Jaato I know your not to blame if they keep you in the dark but I have 0 faith that they will act on anything that is suggested here. The devs to date have shown a propensity to go it alone and adopt an attitude that they know better then us. With that said Here is what I want:

1. First and foremost I want Thunderheart to start giving us specifics about our profession in regards to the rebalance. It really is past time that we get to know a bit more about these sweeping changes he is going to make to the game. I would like it stressed to him that were tired of getting the run around when asking specifics. I know I am not the only one here one only has to look at the latest answer thread to see within the first four responses people saying exactly what I am.

2. Second I want all armor types effecitve resistances upped so that at master we can sell other types of armor other than composite and the occasional ubese. Jaato I can't tell you how many people contact me every day wanting good "padded" with "decent" resists. I really want to sell them padded but I can't in good conscience do that until the devs make padded worth the materials that go into it and worth it to the consumer. Right now its neither worth my time nor is it worth the time of the consumer and that is using very good resources/acklay segments.

3. I want one vulnerability and one special protection for ALL armors. Until this is fixed I don't think I will be able to sell many types of armor even though they look undeniably cool.

4. A way to seal armors such as Composite, RIS, and Mandelorian so that we can actually protect against the hordes of combat medics.

5. Explain the bonus to force experimentation. Followup one, if it indeed works in such a way that provides a general bonus to crafting armor how does he invision new crafters coming into the market and competing with the old. By doing this aren't you awarding people who were hard core players over that of the casual player and how is this fair to the casual player who did not have the time to master 32 professions in a worst case scenario?

6. What role do they see PSG's playing? When will they be fixed? When they do indeed work with they add to armor protections? If so then i can certainly live with lower protections in armor (not as low as non composite is now).

Jaato I would suggest that if the devs aren't going to give us feedback then maybe its time to stop allowing them plausible deniability by letting them off the hook with the GDK scales question. Take one question everyone agrees upon or that is mentioned most and say here is your question from us and its only one this week because this is the one we want you to answer.

I agree with a lot of what's posted here, though there are some things I'd list that should be addressed even before improving anything

Broken things to fix that have been broken a long long time include.

1) Special protection that isn't. - I did some trials today against a CDEF and a T21. PSG worked as expected against a CDEF, didnt' work as expected against the T21, why is that? Why is it called a special protection when in fact it's the same protection as a regular protection? THat's like saying new and improved when you've only changed the label.

2) Make armor work. - Not to be insulting but still, despite the stability adds that stopped protection migrations... FINALLY... some armor still doesn't work. Exmaple, after seeing the poor performance of the PSG against the T21 I decided to put on a bone helm and see if regular armor special protection worked as expected. It didn't. In fact, not only did it not, it didn't protect AT ALL. That's right, that Bone helm with a 31% Special protection to energy stopped 0 damage from that T21. Not all fractions aside you can't devide by 0 so that spells broken, and you don't have to be a mathematician to see that.

Minor annoyances that should be addressed if Lucan doesn't want to spin in his future grave about them.

Damage and damage types - Cold damage.... Get... real... Nuff said. SG= Sonic Gun, get your acronyms right. Padded armor is usually worn when using an SG Rifle or Pistol to protect yourself from them yet the padded armor in this game protects against Blast damage? I thoguht we wore flak vests for blast damage. Well first off if you're re-balancing combat do it right! Ion rifle, that's Ion damage, just like starships, there's a no brainer. That's why they hurt droids and electronics. If you want to make something weak to Ion damage introduce that Power Armor the Zabrak's wearingin the art book and make that vulnerable to itor something but do realize that the nervous system is well protected from ion blasts which is why we're not all dead from the myriad of energy waves we pass through every day.Stun Baton, fine that can be stun, but you should only take damage from that if you're unarmored because guess what... unless the probes hit your flesh you kind of not really a part ofthat electrical circuit. Half the stun damage in the game SHOULD be Ion damage anyway and shouldn't hurt organic targets for the same reason you can't hurt me with a high powered channel changer. Make the SG series Sonic damage like it's supposed to be and make padded armor defend against that like it's supposed to. Introduce an SG pistol like there's supposed to be. Anyone want to tell me why the Tusken Rifle does Energy damage and not Kinetic? You get the idea.

Now, on to... things that should be improved.

1) I love the idea of shield effects. I'm on the fence about regeneration but having nice sphere particle effects to show the shield is working ( anbd know when it's down! ) would be visually pleasing and add depth to the game.

2) Armor adjustments. Besides the whole please please make armor other than composite worth something ( which I've heard rumors will be addressed soon ) take the time to make some other armors make some more sense. I'm not going to argue for more Tantel pieces because you know what... there aren't more. But do make them individual. That is to say if it's an ancuent armor why does it require a factory to make segments for? If the armor looks like a scarecrow with metal plates and douct tape... I think I can make the segments by hand thank you.

3) Yea, why not... give us more. You know you want to. I want power armor so bad I can taste it. Primarilly because it's not composite and secondarilly...um... because it's not as ugly as composite. ( I'm sorry... composite is the ugliest, least stylish looking thing I've ever seen, bar none. ) Give us those riot shields. Heck, if we've been good ( and you know we have ) let us put symbols on the shields like oh, Imperial gear, Rebel tulip, Smiley face, etc. Make the shields an alternative to the dual wield weapons like other games. You can use a 2 handed sword, or use a 1 handed sword and a shield, or a 1 handed sword and a shield. Same for pistols. Shields rock. People like shields and you'll need an incentive to NOT have everyone dual wielding soon anyway.

4) Make lower end armors more useful. This is a tweak thing. Armorweave looks swank, but who wears itto a bar fight? Well, unless you know a dozen commando's with flamethrowers will be there nobody, and even then there's far better armor out there than even maxxed out advanced armorweave despite the special protection to heat. ( Unless of course you fix the special protections to actually match the armor piercing of the weapons attacking them )

5) Make armor piercing and special protection mean something. Why do NPC's have heavy armor? Thay're not AT-ST's people. Besides the obvious already done no-no of making rebels on the Corvette tougher than Rancor's ( yes, I know it's a mission, that's not the point. Point is there are rebels out there wearing no armor with 70K+ HAM that could take out 4 rancor's blindfolded.. that's just wrong. Balance them some other way man. ) If players can't have Heavy armor why should humanoid NPC's? A Monstrous creature, fine, but not a humanoid. Or, Give us Heavy armor. If you don't feel like fixing special protection give us heavy armor to counteract those darn T21's everyone's using now. They're the flavor because everyone knows that even things that should protect from them don't because they're broken!

Anyway, that's my rant. I was a little upset after my field test tonight and figured I'd get that all out.

don't change armor repair!

it's the livelyhood of us, armor shouldn't be able to be repaired, or if it is, the condition greatly reduced, this is what keeps us in business.
