ok i dont want to flame and if thats what this is coming across as then i apoligize but anyways... why are tailors complaing that they cant make wookiee armor? why would a tailor make armor, doesnt it make complete sense for an armorsmith to make armor. thats just the way the world works! TAILORS TAILOR CLOTHING, AND ARMORSMITHS MAKE ARMOR! my god it pisses me off how stupid people are
Armorsmiths make amor!
Glad to see someone got my point.

Maybe this was here and I missed. What skill in AS is required to craft the suit?
It's in Personal Armor I with Chitin Armor. The advanced segment is in Personal Armor III

thank ya
I think part of the reason a lot of tailors are pissed off is because they've been bitching and moaning and complaining and petitioning and pm'ing and issuing and top teningfor a return of tailor experimentation since it was first taken out of the game.
Before that they were bitching and moaning and complaining and petitioningand pm'ing and issuing and top tenning for tailor experimentation to actually do something usefull for clothing.
And now after all this bitching and moaning and complaining and petitioning and pm'ing and issuing and top tenning, the devs are returning tailor experimentation, but not for clothing, not for anything tailors might use.
No the freshly returned tailor experimentation is being put back in to experiment on some stupid armorsmith component.
Further update:
Basic Segment made with low qual resources (max experimental percentage 41%): 2% base, 4% kinetic (all points spend in base and special). Final combine (experimental percentage 63%): 32% kinetic, 18% base resists (all points in kinetic with leftover 3 points in effectiveness).
Advanced Segments made with same resources (max experimental percentage 41%): 7% base, 12% kinetic (all points spent in base and special). Final combine (experimental percentage 63%): 41% kinetic, 23% baseresists (all points in kinetic with leftover 3 points in effectiveness).
Testing stat shift issue now.
Special thanks to Brer (sfxguy) and Vandessa for their help testing tonight.

*sigh*
Hi guys,
I haven't posted here until this padded segment thing came up.... I'm a tailor, not an armoursmith and don't know the first thing about the process of making armour, except that you need fiber panels, synth cloth and reinforced fiber panels from us. That makes sense - cloth from tailors.
What doesn't make sense is that we are crafting part of your final product for you. I could see if the schematic for those padded segments took a fiberplast panel, or reinforced fiberplast panel. To have us do the experimentation and dohickey stuff to give it resists is toeing the line across to your profession. I am perfectly happy to see the other components we make now, but this does not make logical sense.
We make clothes.
We spend our time designing outfits, matching colours, and getting people to look right. The materials in the schematic seem rather low-end for being in the Fieldwear 3 skill as well. It could be placed in Domestic Arts 3 or 4, so that it was more readily craftable by yourselves. But it should really be a component in the armoursmith skill boxes at the same level that other armour components get these similar items.
Sorry if I sound like I am uninformed about armoursmithing.... I am.

Frustrating..... But I will live though it... *Rolls Eyes*

As a tailor, I amtotally PO'ed about the way the dev's are doing this new wookiee armor.
I have outfitted a huge amount of wookiees since the game came out. I have loyal wookiee customers.
Armor comes out and now its handed over to armorsmiths (even though there is alreadywookiee battle padding and wookiee crested battle padding in the tailor tree) so now I will lose wookiee customers to armorsmiths and will need to make stupid armor segments to help the very armorsmiths who are stealing my customers?
Any of you armorsmiths see the tailor nerf here or is it just me.
By the way most tailors are opposed to making more componants. Our profession is turning into a supplier profession instead of a true profession. We must be the biggest supply oriented profession in the entire galaxy. I for one am sick of it. At least with trim, syn cloth and rfp it's something we use anyways. Armor segments are something we would only make for armorsmiths... it's retarded.
I love that wookiees are getting armor, but why the heck should we tailors help armorsmiths who will take our wookiee clients from us? To me it hurts and is a slap in the face to me and my profession.
Well ain't that ass backwards. There are tailors on Shadowfire looking for MAS to hook up with to make the armor.
Lets see.... tailors get how many items to craft? Now lets compair that to the 2 items ppl ask AS for.
Screw you and go post on the tailor forum. You got new schematics in the last couple patches and we got jack **edit**.
You want to talk about slap in the face, ask how we feel about RIS, PSGs, and armor holes.
Work with us on this not against and everyone will be happy.
